I read straight through overnight and was so caught up in the story, I was surprised by a major plot point (that any DM fan should have seen miles away. Publishers Weekly was more critical, describing the book as "evocative if underwhelming" and criticizing the exposition throughout. Plus, there's a steamy new love interest who she meets through her online persona—except she has no idea if she can truly trust his motives.I’ll admit, I have been a devotee of the Deux Moi account for some time and bought this book merely out of support for my favorite content creator.
