Description

I found the plastic cover doesn’t have an air-tight seal – this would make a huge difference for keeping the paints in their jelly state! Himi gouache is a type of gouache paint that is produced in the town of Himi in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. The brand HIMI is known for its high-quality pigments and ability to produce vivid, opaque colors. This 2022/2023 color does not look like it's made with only PB27, so I think it's made mixing PB27 with another pigment, or it's entirely a hue color. A "hue" is a color that mimics a certain original color by using pigments not used in the OG color. For example Cobalt Blue is made with PB28 Cobalt Aluminum Oxide, but a Cobalt Blue (Hue) is made with anything but (the Cobalt Blue in this set is a hue, it does not behave like genuine Cobalt). As for mixing colors, I have found that they mix great! The colors do not turn muddy and remain very vibrant. For gouache paints, it is recommended that you use any paintbrush that is made for watercolor or acrylic. I splurged and bought a set of Himi Paintbrushes as well. Just could not resist the pretty aqua color they came in! The set I got, has all Round paintbrushes. I use round paintbrushes the most. They come in sizes 12, 10, 9, 6, and 5. A round 6 is a great brush size for you to have in your supplies, and this one is great!

No, gouache paint is not the same as acrylic. Gouache is opaque watercolor paint, whereas acrylic is a fast-drying, synthetic paint that is water-resistant. Acrylic can be used on many different surfaces, such as wood, canvas, and paper. What is the difference between gouache and poster paint?Maybe. You can never seal gouache as the pigment colors will reactivate and the entire painting will be spoilt. You will need to frame the canvas with a glass front to preserve your art. Do Himi Gouache paints dry out? Before, I had actually taken a break from painting because painting can get expensive, messy, and I unfortunately didn’t have space to keep my canvases out. Tubed gouache paint I use for the larger projects and when I am going to do a lot of mixing. Himi gouache I use for specifically the vibrancy of the colors and usually do not want to do much mixing if any at all. Tubed gouache paint I use explicitly for achieving colors to get the perfect shade, much like mixing oil paint. The Best Features of Himi Gouache Paint

If you like, you don’t have to peel off the entire cover at once. Peel off a little bit so that most of the cup stays covered. As you need more paint over time, you can peel off the cover more and more.

I think it is an excellent product for the price and the colors are beautiful! I find them smooth, easy to work with, and pigmented enough to help create beautiful works of art. Himi gouache is an inexpensive student-grade gouache that is fun to use. Unlike most student-grade paints, this gouache is easy to use and can help you learn how to use gouache before making an expensive investment in professional paints. Brushes: When painting with gouache paint, you don’t want to use expensive watercolor brushes. Gouache is a bit harder to get out of the paintbrush, so use a brush more similar to acrylic paintbrushes. These brushes are very affordable and work well. Affordability: Himi gouache is relatively affordable compared to other high-quality gouache paints, making it a great choice for artists who are just starting out or who want to experiment with different colors and techniques. However, these paints are fun to use in a sketchbook and to learn with. You get a ton of paint for the price, so it doesn’t feel precious. How to Use Himi Gouache Supplies Needed:

No, Himi gouache is not a watercolor. Gouache paint is opaque paint that is made from water and pigment. It is different from transparent watercolors because it contains white pigment that makes it opaque. Jelly cup gouache paint has its own set of benefits compared to tubed gouache paint. Here are some of them: No, it would be best not to mix gouache with water. Gouache is made up of pigment, binder, and water. When you add more water to the gouache, it will thin the paint and make it difficult to control its consistency. So, overall, I recommend the Himi Gouache paints. Frequently asked questions about Gouache Paint. What is the difference between jelly gouache and gouache?

If your paint is losing moisture, you will need to add a little bit of water to it to keep it the right consistency. Also, if you add water, make sure to thoroughly mix it with the paint so that the color is solid when painted on your paper. Can you use gouache for washes? If you do not want to mix your colors, use a less wet brush. You can also add more layers on top as well.
