The eight month-old sadly lost her inspirational battle at the family home in Nuneaton on April 24 this year. So we want to actively, every single month, give a set amount to help them reach their goal, so that families can feel supported. Ashley Cain is the Nuneaton resident whose heartbreaking loss has led to him becoming a household name.

We want to help families financially - we understand that there are families that may not be as fortunate as we have been with such a beautiful and supportive network," Ashley said.My favourite moments was when I used to sleep over at the hospital at night and I used to wake up in the morning, look over my shoulder and in the next bed to me was Azaylia," he said.

Ashley’s journey since has been inspirational to watch; his emotional and physical strength of spirit is awe-inspiring to behold, and it is an honour to be able to work with him to share his story and Azaylia’s legacy with the world. He goes on: "And brother, I am so sorry to hear this news, but I don't have to tell you that your daughter's strength is what strengthens you and all her loved ones around her. To raise money Ashley has done “eight or nine marathons in the last two years”, a 109-mile run in one go from Coventry to London’s Trafalgar Square, a 1,100-mile cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats, climbed the Three Peaks and cycled 1,800 miles from London to Paris to Geneva to Rome, through the Alps. They shared what were the final moments with their brave daughter, who had battled cancer since she was just eight weeks old. It was the latest landmark to turn orange; in her hometown of Nuneaton, two council buildings were lit-up orange all week. Ashley Cain, endurance athlete, campaigner, reality star and ex-footballer, is holding back the tears as he relays the grief he carries every day, little more than two years after the death of his daughter, Azaylia, aged eight months, from acute myeloid leukaemia.

I have followed Ashley’s journey with his daughter since the beginning and I think he is such a inspirational man and what he is doing for his daughter is amazing. I like to do a challenge that's going to be really tough round her anniversary, not only to commemorate her life, but to help me release some of the pain from my head and my heart. Two years on, the grief of losing his ‘little lion' daughter, who was given chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant before succumbing to the disease, has not dimmed. They revealed the terrible news on Instagram, where they had kept fans updated with the tot's battle against the cruel disease. I understood that Azaylia wasn't here anymore, that she was in heaven and I was never going to see her again until the end of my journey.Ashley Cain and Safiyya Vorajee spoke during an emotional interview to help launch The Azaylia Foundation. Sadly, they were later told the treatment in Singapore would not be possible due to the complexity of Azalyia's case. I promised that even now I will always be the best daddy I can be, I will honour her incredible time here and I will fight till the day I die for other children and their families who face the monster that is cancer. But the determined dad of the eight-month-old, who had a rare form of leukaemia, said he remained positive and believed in the strength of his daughter. During her battle, landmarks across the world turned orange in her honour, including Niagara Falls and Blackpool Tower and this week so will the Town Hall in her hometown.

A massive respect to Ashley for writing this book and sharing his journey to raising awareness for childhood cancer. With his pink hair, tattoos, diamond earrings and ripped physique, it would be easy to have preconceived ideas about Ashley. We’re thankful to Safiyya and Ashley for sharing their family’s experiences so openly and eloquently at this difficult and emotional time for them. I hope the knowledge of Azaylia’s lifesaving gift, which will give countless families hope in years to come, brings comfort to them. In the video, he said: Stay strong brother, man my heart breaks for you, and tell that little lion, I said: 'Let's go champ'. But his whole life changed when he and his then partner, Safiyya Vorajee, had a baby girl - Azaylia in August 2020.
