I will give you a home. I want to stay with you, always. [...] Wait a little longer for me... won't you…?"" I screamed at this book, I laughed at this book, I went through the 5 stages of grief with this book. And I would do it all over again.

Remnants of Filth: Yuwu (Novel) Vol. 1 - Waterstones

Yue Chenqing had recited the incantation thirty times, but Murong Chuyi only needed to say it once... Remnants of Filth (余污, Yúwū) is the second novel written by Meatbun Doesn't Eat Meat, set in the same universe as The Husky and His White Cat Shizun. The author began publishing the main story on JJWXC from December 31, 2018 till when it ended on August 25, 2019 and released the last extra chapter on October 25, 2019.Another point I thought was done very well were the characters. GM and MX aside, man the cast of side characters was something else. By the end, I definitely learned my lesson to not get too attached to certain characters or hate someone because of their earlier actions, as all of the "bad guys" at the beginning end up being the good guys, and the nice characters you get attached to are the ones hiding a lot of evil intentions and secrets in their hearts. For example, I had so much faith in the emperor when MX viewed his confidential meeting with GM in the jade slip and the emperor promised a whole lot of beautiful things to GM, and then actually made true on one of his promises to bury GM's 70,000 dead soldiers. But then the emperor turned out to be a super crazy guy obsessed with evil magic over anything else, even the safety and stability of his own nation, so there's that. The wildly popular danmei Boys’ Love novel series from China set in the universe of The Husky and His White Cat Shizun !A historical fantasy epic about two war generals who were once close…until dark circumstances ripped them apart.Noble-born Mo Xi is the foremost general of Chonghua, known for his ruthless temper and ascetic air. Once he was one of two promising young commanders, twin stars of the empire. His comrade, the lowborn Gu Mang, was Mo Xi’s brother-in-arms, best friend, and–secretly–his lover, until the day Gu Mang turned traitor and joined the ranks of their nation’s greatest enemy. Now Gu Mang has been returned to the empire a ruined man, a shadow of the military genius he once was. The public clamors for his death, and no one yearns for vengeance more than Mo Xi. Or so he thought–for faced once more with his bitterest enemy, Mo Xi is left with more questions than answers. Why did the man he loved betray him? And what secrets hide behind Gu Mang’s tortured eyes? Remnants of Filth: Yuwu (Novel) Vol. 2 by Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou – eBook Details The traitor Gu Mang returned to his home kingdom again. Everyone rejoiced in his banishment. It was said the one who hated him most was his closest friend – the cold and stoic Young Master Mo. This is such a beautiful story and so well written!!!! I came out a different person, inspired to be as good a lover as Mo Xi and have the resilience and will power of Gu Mang. All characters undergo huge character development. The ancestry of Chu Wanning (My sweestest!!!) explained was also tooo good.

What's this? Another license announcement? For a book I was just planning to read? With art from my favorite artist? The sun came over the hills. Gu Mang was sitting by the window, his profile a lonely silhouette against the dawn breaking. Language: English Words: 378 Chapters: 1/1 Kudos: 33 Bookmarks: 2 Hits: 178 This was totally not what I expected from the title or the summary - it was better (then again, one shouldn't trust titles/summaries of danmei novels; they're usually so far off the mark it's ridiculous.) I don't want to talk about the plot because... it's better to just read it. All I want to say is that, as 2ha prequel, Yu Wu totally lived up to the hype (and 10/10 do read 2ha before reading Yu Wu - there are so many references and parallels it'd be such a loss to miss them ._.)Mo Xi. It's fine, don't be sad. No matter what, we'll always be together. No matter how hard things get, I'll pull this through. Come on, let's go home.” Chapter numbers follow the official English translation, therefore Prologue does not count as Chapter 1. But do the honorable gentlemen know that this Xihe-jun of yours, renowned for his virtue, would actually let a filthy traitor wear a mask to act as his personal attendant?” However, I don't think being put through a filter of translation changes how little interstitial material there is. This book is just constantly composed of direct explanations of a character's thoughts or moods and conversations. There is no joining, no transition from scene to scene it feels. It's just like, oh, there was a massacre! And now we need to have the characters go report to the emperor, so now they're with the emperor! Oh and now they're on the trail of a killer! Now we're in a prison! It just felt a little bit jerky because of that. But hey, it wasn't as if he were jealous or anything, right?
