I do agree there is a splash of Prada Candy added to this. (And a hint of Shalimar Parfum Intial EDP) At first, I was a little let down and disappointed, I found it waaay too femme, way too floral and just not something I would ever go for, but after a few hours, my opinion on it totally changed.

I have already written a favorable review about the original Infusion d'Iris EDP (I like that better than the EDT which is more floral/less incensey and L'Eau d'Iris which is a floral/minty version). Despite my admiration of the EDP it was a bit too uptight and austere to feel comfortable wearing it and got swapped.The projection is similar to IdH. It projects a clean, beautiful and fresh smell for one hour and after that the intensity begins to falla down to becomes It a skin scent. I have been trying to get to know this perfume for a couple of years now and each time i wear it, it lasts a long while and has a long pervading sweetness alongside an iris note (one that shows violet, powdery, suede, dusty, chewy facets), which stays right through to the base.

Original review: I can barely smell it! Even with 3-4 sprays on my wrist, it's like it's not even there. I bring my nose to my wrist and almost nothing. This morning I pretty much drowned in it, sprayed numerous times on my clothes and arms, and all I can feel is 'something' powdery and dry. Clean. But again barely there!

Absolou is closer to actual face powder! If d'Iris and d'Iris Cedre are like bathing with a very fragrant expensive soap, Absolou is the same experience after you towel yourself off, get dressed, apply makeup and put on an ornate broach. That awesome Infusion d'Iris DNA is still there, and it still is kinda sorta unisex... But on the matronly side of unisex, if that makes any sense. Actually, this also happens to be my mothers favourite perfume nowadays - she has taken it over. In a sense, this fragrance has quite a mature feel. I indeed felt older as a teenager than I do now, in my twenties. The word that least describe this one is probably "playful".
