With a spirit that is both dark and light, this is an Amber Floral with a troubling sensuality and an indecipherable signature. It reminds me of Angel, which is instantly recognisable, but very overused, or was 5-ish years ago, BUT its more elegant and sophisticated. Quite a unique scent, I don't necessarily think it would be a crowd pleaser, so this is definitely for somebody who wears perfume for themselves. I am not going to describe either perfume in any depth - my input isn't necessary, as others have done so far better than I could. The vanilla and white musk notes do a wonderful job of elegantly balancing the incense smell such that it isn't overpowering or cloying.

I normally dislike reformulations - and this one has most definitely had one - but this time, I'm ok with it. The dry-down is ever so woody, mossy, and powered as to give it an elegant feel without feeling cliche.Vanilla lily scented funeral :( It’s really quite beautiful in the beginning stages just not for me.

I remember the old formulation being so rich and deep that one spray was enough to see you through the day or night, on my skin at least. I’m absolutely not annoyed about it - it doesn’t feel like a common perfume and certainly not for young 20-somethings and so I felt that I’d carved a little scent niche for myself. The only negative aspect is that I can't really smell it after about 4-5 hours (it is my nose's problem and not the perfume), just a few days ago I was reaching for the bottle to touch up in the afternoon and my sister stopped me ('Don't spray anymore! However, the cloud of this (and what I’m actually catching wafts of) is very grandma-y, powdery floral. one of the most original, timeless,, sensual, and out of this world perfumes that i have experiences.A fellow fragrantican recommended it to me a few years back, knowing I enjoyed warm, spicy, floral, oriental fragrances. First spray is like lots of herbs like saffron and thyme on a lovely velvety base of vanilla and tonka bean. It's not linear, the smell moves between floral,wood notes and vanilla but in separate stages, the name is well chosen. The vanilla here is not sugary sweet and is perfectly blended with the oakmoss, the thyme and the mandarin orange, without becoming bitter or too fresh.
