Description

Paco Rabanne have 4 different men's fragrances – Invictus, as listed here, Million, Black XS for Him and Olympea. There is almost a vanilla-y, sweet note on the dry down which is delicious and sits wonderfully on his skin. A sexy beast, with the ambergris and sea notes it dries into something akin to salty skin in a good way; fresh, sweet and aromatic. I received this and a few other fragrance samples included in a recent swag bag and gave this to my husband to wear.

Almost the smell i'd imagine if I got a shower with a strong, sports styled icy/aqua themed shower gel and then proceeded to go to the beach and jump into the sea.Paco Rabanne launches Invictus, its new fragrance for men, which represents fresh and sporty creation in relation to the other perfumes of the house.

Overall, the Invictus EDT is a bold and masculine fragrance that is well-suited for men who want a scent that makes a statement. It is similar to Bad Boy Cobalt, but the latter has more depth and it isn't as linear as Invictus Platinum. All the notes just compliments each other and the EDT is super long lasting, it stays on ur clothes for eternity. I think some people don't like this because it's not masculine enough as it doesn't have any leather or animalic notes but it just doesn't need it.

Because, since the launch of Ultraviolet for Men (1999) - with its bolder scent - and the sales success of Black XS (2005), the brand reached a completely different male audience than was usual until then, with the faithful users of the classic Paco Rabanne for Men (1973). Although it seems to me that there is a movement to simplify the bottles of today, making them very straight, cylindrical and/or discolored, Paco Rabanne still believes in the legend (beyond true) that a large part of worldwide sales of perfumes is due to the beauty and creativity of their bottles, together with what the fragrance represents. I think that's the absinthe, but I don't have enough experience with actual absinthe to know what that smells like. Apart from great longivity and sillage, I hate this fragrance, I dont like opening and drydown as well. Overall, all three of these fragrances share some common elements with the Invictus EDT, but each one has its own distinct character.

Invectus is the best one, exact smell of allure homme sport but more sillage and longivity and less sweet. I have tried bleu de chanel eau de parfum, sauvage, allure homme sport, one million, one million absolutely gold, terry de mugler A men, car. Despite sharing a name with one of the most excellent poems of all time, Invictus is cloyingly sweet, gratingly synthetic, and in the end, reminiscent of Axe/Lynx body spray. On the whole, I am more than satisfied with the product, but I find the product a bit too expensive. If you're an extrovert and actually like to leave your home instead of hating on colognes all day, chances are you will run into this on the street. Top Notes: Revitalise your mind with invigorating grapefruit and absinth that clash with richer and masculine notes of patchouli and cypress.
