In short, the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect does exactly what it promises. It’s an easy way to keep an eye on your pets’ diets, ensure they don’t steal each others’ food, and provides a means by which you can control portion sizes.

A battery-operated timer lets you set up to 4 opening times over a 4 day period, and the battery should last for at least 1 year. While the feeding bowl has 5 compartments, one of these is always open, so it’s only possible to schedule 4 meals for future times. This microchip cat feeding station is designed for cats and features a clear hopper and a base with a feeding tray and a cover that goes over the tray. There is also a screen and buttons for programming that is situated between the hopper and the feeding tray. It can work with up to 8 pets and features an AC adapter and 2 wireless collar tags. If so, you’ll know how much your pets love taking food from one another, and that’s where MiBowl ® is the perfect pet food companion! The feeder requires 4 x C batteries (which aren’t supplied) to operate. There is a low battery warning light to let you know when these need changing. The food tray is easy to remove and dishwasher-safe too, which makes cleaning easy. The timer requires 4 x D type batteries, and these should last for between 6-12 months.Felaqua Connect is the latest product to join the Sure Petcare suite of connected products. It is a water bowl that is designed to not only be cat-friendly, it also monitors your cat’s water intake, giving you peace of mind. The bowl also refills with clean, fresh water automatically as your cat drinks. Once the cat has been registered to that feeder via the microchip or the tag it will only open for that cat. Much to the annoyance of the others. To find the best automatic feeder for your pet and their needs, we’ve highlighted some key features to look out for: Capacity and portion size Do you have problems with intruder cats coming into your house? Do your pets steal each other’s food, or is one of them on a special diet? Or do you find that you waste wet food because it dries out and your pet won't eat it? Easy to clean:Bowls and mats can be hand-washed in hot water. The lid has a slider for easy removal.

SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder helped me so much with the problem of making sure each of my cats gets the right food. Ultimately, though, you get what you pay for, and the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect is superbly designed. While it isn’t exactly a must-have, you may well end up wondering how you got by without it. This feeder is perfect if you have pets who steal each others’ food, or want to make sure that prescription food is only eaten by the right pet. It’s also great for pets who are on weight management diets, as it will prevent them from eating food meant for your other pets. Sure Petcare offers a range of award-winning products which solve problems like these experienced by many cat owners, including the SureFlap® Microchip Cat Flap, the SureFeed® Microchip Pet Feeder, the Microchip Cat Flap, the Pet Door Connect and the Felaqua® Connect. MiBowl ® comes with removable portion-protecting clips as standard - providing an extra shield for small cats, kittens and smaller dogs. The timer can also be programmed to serve a specified amount over a period of time (e.g., a total of 12 units daily, at regular intervals between 9am and 10pm). This is designed for pets with specific dietary requirements (for example diabetic cats), or if you want to regulate how much food your pet eats. In addition, you can manually serve an extra portion (or portions) at any time. The Feed and Go smart pet feeder is the first automated pet feeder we’ve seen that can be controlled from anywhere in the world. By using any computer, tablet or smart phone (including iPhone and Android) connected to the internet, you can set up feeding schedules wherever you may be. There maybe those of you who regard the SureFeed feeder as overkill, but it’s good if you have your pet on a calorie-controlled diet, or want to show your vet how your pets have been eating recently, given that meal-time enthusiasm is a good proxy for general health. You can see the times of day that they tend to graze: This 4 Meal Automatic Pet Feeder from Andrew James is almost identical to the Trixie TX4 Plus, but is branded differently and comes in different colours. It is slightly cheaper too, so unless you really want the colours that the Trixie comes in, then you can save yourself some money and buy this version.

The TX4 Automatic Pet Feeder from Trixie is very similar to the6 Meal Automatic Pet Feeder from Andrew James, however this particular feeder has 4 rather than 6 feeding bowls, which means these bowls are larger – at 500ml in size. Unusually for automatic pet feeders, which are usually battery powered, this feeder is mains powered so you never have to worry about the batteries running out while you are away. You can set the batter-powered timer to open the lid automatically up to 24 hours later. The single AA battery should last for around 1 year. The battery-powered timer allows you to program up to 3 meals per day, and you can specify the amount of food in units of approx. 10g. You can even specify different amounts for each of the 3 feeds during the day – for example 8 units in the morning, 4 at midday and 6 in the evening.Unlike their 4 and 6 day feeders, this 90 Day Pet Feeder from Andrew James is designed for dry food only. The timer can be programmed to feed your pets up to 4 times a day, and the 10.6 litre capacity means it can hold enough food for up to 90 days (with 1 meal per day). On top of being easy for your pet to feed from, the automatic feeder should be easy for you to use, too. You'll need to be able to easily configure the settings for the necessary timings, the number of meals and portion sizes for your pet and have an interface that is easy to understand when it comes to low-food or power alerts. When should you use an automatic pet feeder? The Le Bistro Food Dispenser from Petmate is also known as the Petmate Portion Right Programmable Pet Feeder, the Infinity Programmable Feeder and also the Trixie Le Bistro. Despite the many identities, the feeders are exactly the same other than the name on the front. MiBowl ® automatically detects your pet’s individual microchip giving them unique access to their next meal. Suitable for both wet and dry food – perfect for pets who are on regulated or prescription diets. MiBowl’s fully enclosed design ensures greedy siblings cannot access from the rear or sides during feeding. You can specify the portion size too, with 10 options from ¼ cup to 2.5 cups. The feeder will also automatically detect if the food tray is full, and won’t dispense additional portions if this is the case.
