Coconut oil is a popular ingredient in skincare which can cleanse, moisturise and soften. It also has antibacterial and antifungal properties. It works great in bath bombs to help the bath water feel “softer”. In water, Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) breaks down into its magnesium and sulfate components. It’s popular for use in baths by itself thanks to its reputation for relaxing muscles, soothing skin and loosening joints. Lightly spray witch hazel until the mixture is wet enough to hold its shape if you were to grab a handful (see video above). One of the things we love about making bath bombs is the creativity. This donut bath bomb recipe is a great example of a fun and unique bath bomb! Lately we have really enjoyed combining soap with our bath bombs to create some extra amazing pieces. In our experience the addition of soap only makes for a better bath experience. For the holiday season we have a Grinch bath bomb with a soap heart and a beautiful icicle bath bomb. This fun and unique donut bath bomb is another great example of using soap and bath bombs together. Step 12: Spray rubbing alcohol a bit at a time and incorporate into dry mixture using your hands. Break down anyYou can choose which oils you add and how much depending on your preferences. The amount in the recipe is simply a starting point that works for our household. Hi there, I’m Sarah. I’m a crafty gal and always have at least 14 projects going at once. I am a crafter, designer, and pattern maker and share my creations here and over at the Ruffles and Rain Boots® shop.

The colourants used are approved for bath bomb and designed specifically not to stain your bathtub with rings. However if this does occur they can be removed with household cleaners. The mixture is perfect when it feels like wet sand and you can make clumps with your hands that stay together. **Please note** You may need to use your spray bottle of rubbing alcohol to spritz your mixture while you're putting it into the molds, if it gets too dry. Give a few spritzes and mix together until it has that wet sand feel again. Add 1 small drop of color to mixture and mix in well. Continue to add a small drop and mix until you achieve the red velvet colour you want. I went for a more chocolate with a hint of red but create whatever you like! If your mix isn’t dark enough, I found adding an off-white colouring gives you more control over the colour than a brown colour will. Rosemary– This is a popular choice for relieving stress, promoting memory and dealing with muscle soreness. Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers! Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places. So you might be wondering how we turned this into a STEAM project. First there is some fascinating science in bath bomb making. We cover it in detail in some of our other bath bomb activities, but in brief it is an acid-base reaction that is triggered by the addition of water. We also have emulsifiers and surfactants. The emulsifier (Polysorbate 80) makes the oils and water of the bath mix nicely. The surfactant (SLSA) helps create a luxurious foam bath. So you get the wonderful bath fizzy fun, followed by a silky, soothing foam bath.

Transform your bath time into a scrumptious treat with our Wholesale Donut Bath Bomb. Just baked and ready to enchant, these bath fizzers add a playful twist to your self-care routine. In a small bowl, melt coconut oil in microwave for 25-30 seconds.Add to dry mixture slowly while stirring so as not to make it fizz. Tell me a donut bath bomb doesn’t look cool! They definitely look more interesting than the regular round type and make more of a splash when you show them to others. They Make Awesome Gifts Melt and pour soap base is pre-made soap that you can melt and then use to make your own soap. You can also melt and use it as decoration on your DIY donut bath bomb! Each bath bomb might be slightly different in appearance & colours compared to the pictures shown above. EVERY BATCH COULD BE DIFFERENT. These ridiculously cute donut bath bombs make perfect gifts for anyone and they are a really simple and easy DIY bath bomb recipe. Here at Ruffles and Rain Boots, our love of making bath bombs genuinely has no bounds. Who doesn’t want a little fizzy fun in the bath or shower?!

It doesn’t matter which type you buy except it should be a white colour rather than clear so it looks better on the donut. So just don’t buy the clear type. Then I came across the idea of using melt and pour soap and sprinkles for the top part and it sounded so easy that I couldn’t wait to make them. Lightly spray witch hazel a few times until you can gather the mix in your fist and it holds its shape. If it easily falls apart then you might need 1-3 more sprays of witch hazel. Avoid spraying too much or your mix will start fizzing. You only need enough to slightly dampen the mix. The goal is a wet sand like consistency that just holds together with no clumps. If it's still a little dry after adding all the coconut oil and essential oils (meaning it doesn't hold together yet), add a tiny amount of water, say 1/2 of a teaspoon or a small spray and mix again.

Please note** You may need to use your spray bottle of rubbing alcohol to spritz your mixture if it gets too dry as you are adding it to your mold. Give a few spritzes and mix together until it has that wet sand feel again. Steps 15-16: Carefully “pop” bombs from the mold. Spread out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Donut pan ,Aluminum donut mold , Doughnut pan , Donut baking pan ,Donut Maker , Donut Mold , Donut Cake , Muffin cake , homemade Fill your bathtub with warm water, then drop the bath bomb in and enjoy as the bath bomb slowly starts to dissolve releasing the colours, fragrance and skin loving oils. Press bath bomb mixture into the donut pan. I was able to get 5 bath bombs, with just a little bit leftover. Allow the bath bombs to dry for at least a few hours (I always leave mine overnight). Place a towel down and gently turn the pan over to release them. They should come right out, if not gently tap on the bottom of the pan. The towel provides a soft surface to land on, to prevent them from breaking.
