Mellowed for 12 years in hand made oak casks, a combination of Sherry, Bourbon, re-fill and re-char casks. This is a whisky that is one step beyond the conventional, mainstream offerings and a more interesting choice than the classic malts commonly available.

This whisky is carefully crafted by our team and then left to rest in a combination of cask types to showcase honey, vanilla and spice flavours with a whiff of smoke at the end. For larger groups we can still obtain a high level of detail when studied closely and can rely on how light reflects on the completed bottles. Not too sweet, but decent after dinner dram or late at night when you don't want a peated punch from Islay. In 2000, the Earl of Elgin opened "Dewar's World of Whisky" at the Aberfeldy Distillery: this is a centre for marketing the products and educating the public about the process of distillation and history of the Dewar's brand.This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.

Some of the tropical fruit notes arrive after the brief tongue burn, but they are substantially muted (watered-down). With Water: A (very) few drops of water increase the nose tickle and scatter the volatile fruits and flowers.

In my opinion not only is the body too thin at 40%, they also don’t hold up too well if not finished quickly. We are vastly experienced and are able to use traditional hand engraving techniques along with the latest laser engraving technology to provide us with the most precise engraving results. Full bodied and golden yellow in colour, Aberfeldy 12 Year Old is patiently fermented for longer bringing its famous honeyed notes and making it super smooth. This indisputably needs a higher ABV – 46% at a minimum – and another 3 years or so in cask to develop a little depth and hopefully shed some of that bitterness. Bolstered by plenty of Aberfeldy's signature honeyed fruit character, this makes for a superbly laid-back sipper.
