You’re gonna open your mouth for me.” “Excuse me?” I was going for haughty but it came out breathy. He dipped his head, drawing me even closer. “And I’m gonna kiss you.” “You can’t just expect—” But the man did expect. And damned if I didn’t open my mouth the second his lips hit mine. less FTB 😑, especially when it’s the first time they do things 😐. Don’t be closing the door on me 😑 Hi Gabriel, I don’t know if I understand correctly but you want to make art inspired by that book? Correct? Well here are some elements from the book: the hero is a sheriff , there is a small dog (rescue) and they are looking for a stolen car (expensive). I don’t know if it gives you ideas about what to draw or make… We stared each other down, willing the other to break first. These were the kinds of social situation I excelled in. Making small talk about girly things? Nope. But going head-to-head with a cagey man when there was important information on the line? This was my Olympics and I was a goddamn gold medalist.”

Anyways...would I recommend this book? Yes but know that this book is kinda long-winded. And only read it if you've read the first book in the series b/c what Lucy does well is character development so its definitely good to know the characters from before as well. It was a feeling. Some kind of magic. A rightness, I guess. It definitely didn’t make any logical sense. On paper we couldn’t be more ill-suited to each other. But there was something so right about how it felt to be with him.” I slapped a hand to his sweaty chest and gave a shove. He didn’t budge. Not even an inch. But his hand clamped over my wrist and then he was yanking me into him. He was a wall of heat and muscle and anger. My own fury melded with his and everything went molten inside me. “I hate how much I still want to be near you.” His voice was a low, angry rasp, like the bite of gravel on bare feet. the moments of levity. If I’m ever kidnapped, I hope to react the way Lina did 😅 I definitely giggled when I know I shouldn’t 🤣 You make me feel things. And after going long enough without feeling anything, feeling something--even if its anger or adrenaline--is better than the nothing." Nash says this, but it honestly could apply to both Nash and Lina.Better than Things We Never Got Over, and I'm excited for the next book now! (They call the hero in the next book a Sinful Suit Daddy - and I immediately decided that I needed to read it.) You make me feel things. And after going long enough without feeling anything, feeling something – even if it’s anger or adrenaline – is better than the nothing.” Worse, Nash praises truth and honesty above everything else while Lina is hiding something that will have him furious once discovered. Very charming with a glorious bum he is the good boy of the town. Loyal, sexy, protective… he was a perfect hero. She turned to Knox. “And you were right about Nash getting hurt and now you’re both mad at each other for that.”

However, I was able to read an ARC which was kindly sent to me by Bloom Books. I also got to do a reveal for the cover and can I just say one thing? It was gorgeous and exactly the cover Nash’s story needed. Tags: Small Town, Suspense, Mental Illness, Law Enforcement, Neighbors to Lovers, Best Friend’s BrotherOMD- the h’s previous weekend fling comes into town. Nothing happens but the H is beside himself and jealous none of these things are deal breakers by any means, but they also made me feel like this book was nothing more than just fine. i honestly wish i hated nash so that i can shit on him and have fun doing it. but i cant because i dont hate him, i dont care about him. he’s just so dull. boring. vanilla. no wait scratch that, vanilla has too much flavour. plain yogurt. thats what he is.

And further down that discussion she said to Lucian:” You’re like a little kid showing off the terrible finger painting you did at school expecting me to be impressed. If I hang it on the refrigerator, will you go away?” Lina is his brother’s best friend and she recently came to town for reasons of her own – and she’s the only one who makes Nash feel different, feel alive again with just a simple touch.i'm always a little dubious of a second book when i absolutely loved the first one but i loved this book and these characters so so so much. Lina was his perfect match. She was kind of a badass, she had so many layers to her, making her the perfect person for Nash. i have a very strong instinct when it comes to certain characters and books in a series and how i feel about them. from the first interaction between Lucian and Sloane in Things We Never Got Over i knew they would be the couple for me in this series. so when Lucy announced that Things We Hide From the Light is actually about Nash (H) and Angelina (h), my excitement for them was lukewarm and that’s exactly how this book turned out to be. It’s a story about the past mixed with today and the results are one hot rich grump and just as hot Librarian and lots of laughs and snorts and antics of their friends and townsfolk’s from the previous stories. Also the continuing mystery throughout all 3 books involving our 3 Heroes comes to a conclusion, making this book one of my best reads all year Lui non é minimamente il suo tipo, Nash ha scritto sulla fronte ''matrimonio e bambini'' e lei schiva tutto ciò come fossero dei proiettili.
