It’s beautifully made and gives you the feeling that you go through the alphabet as a journey, letter by letter. C flips over to become the curve of D; G goes from upright to prone—but then tricks the eye again; and on and on. Compared to the drama of Bataille’s ABC3D, this numeric pop-up book is decidedly low-key (even despite its lurid mustard and black palette), but there’s an inherent elegance in its simplicity.

It's a three-dimensional, interactive, cinematic treat for the littlest fingers right up to the oldest eyes, easily the most innovative alphabet book of the year, if not the decade. A bursting with life ABC, in which the pages go towards the curious reader and move in three dimensions in an astonishing way. Probably because it's a pleasant mix of art and paper engineering packed in a small but striking book.

Also, the usage of materials like plain matte paper mixed with reflective chrome and translucent pages contributes to the total style and appearance of this book.
