Description

Choso was first shown as a villain in the series. He is the oldest, the leader, and the most humanoid of the three Cursed Womb: Death Paintings (1-3) we’ve seen in the series early on. He is distant and stern, although he greatly loves his younger brothers. He has the same skill as Noritoshi Kamo, which gives him complete control over his blood and other attributes. However, I don’t know if it’s technically a curse, since curses seem to be negative even if the intentions behind them are positive (ex: Yuta and Rika). This “curse” of Yuji’s obviously benefits him. Maybe Yuji’s grandpa somehow “cursed” him with positive/reverse cursed energy? I don’t know.

Choso suspected that Itadori might be his brother after they fought, and that is why he did not kill him The relationship between Choso and Yuji Itadori is a complex one. Still, we can confirm that the two of them are siblings, half-brothers to be precise, but the story of how this came to be true is very morbid and shows just how twisted of a villain Kenjaku is. While still existing as a cursed object, Choso was intelligent and self-aware, allowing him to hone his cursed techniques for 150 years. [16] By the time he was incarnated, Choso had already mastered Blood Manipulation to a level that far surpasses the current Noritoshi Kamo. [17] The two of them clashed in Shibuya, and Choso was able to defeat Yuji, but he ended up sparing his life because he had a vision that Yuji was his brother as well, just as he was about to kill him.

Theory Two – The two aren’t really brothers and it’s Yuji’s hidden technique ‘Memory Manipulation’ that causes Choso’s false vision. Imagine a figure emerging from a world where cursed spirits meet humans: that’s Choso. As a Death Painting Womb, Choso is an enigmatic blend of human and cursed spirit. His mere presence intrigues, but there’s much more to him than what meets the eye. Appearance Unveiled:

In this vision, Choso observed Yuji sitting around a picnic table and sharing a meal with his two siblings (Eso and Kechizu), with it being suggested that Choso and Yuji are actually brothers – but is there any merit to this?

GOOD SMILE RACING

The Cursed Womb: Death Paintings make their first appearance in Jujutsu Kaisen shortly after the Goodwill Exchange Event. As Megumi Fushiguro battles a cursed spirit bearing one of Sukuna's fingers, Nobara Kugisaki and Yuji Itadori battle against two of the Death Paintings brought to life by Mahito. Despite the grotesque appearance of these two characters (named Eso and Kechizu), they demonstrate a unique trait for cursed spirits: a willingness to sacrifice their own safety or the sake of another's well-being. The pair truly seem to think of each other as brothers, so it's only natural that their surviving sibling, Choso, is emotionally distraught when he finds out about their loss. However, he eventually finds companionship in the most unlikely of places — Yuji Itadori. All Known Cursed Womb: Death Paintings Advanced Endurance: As noted by Naoya Zenin, Choso is exceptionally tough. [44] He was able to withstand multiple hits from Yuji, who possesses superhuman strength enhanced with cursed energy and masterful precision in his martial arts technique. The Death Painting Womb was also on the receiving end of consecutive blows hits from Noaya that carried the momentum from him moving at blistering speeds. [45] In both hard-fought battles, Choso was able to endure and come out on top. Choso continued to press on even after his lengthy duel with Yuji as a testament to his stamina as well. [46] It turned out that Choso was right as both his father, Noritoshi Kamo, and Yuji’s mother, Kaori Itadori, were Kenjaku, so – technically – they have one shared parent.

To Naoya Zenin) " Whether they’re superior or inferior, older brothers are role models for their younger brothers. An older brother who takes the wrong path shows their younger brothers to avoid it. And if I take the right path, my little brothers can follow behind. What if the reason you’re strong is that your older brothers are weak? You asked why I’m tough. I’ll tell you. It’s because I didn’t have someone to guide me, so I had to make all my own mistakes. Nonetheless, I must walk ahead of my little brothers. That’s why I’m strong." [64] During the Shibuya Incident, despite not being interested in the plan, he was willing to cooperate. However, he had no reason to take lives after Gojo was sealed.DEBATE: Jujutsu Kaisen fans still can’t agree on their favorite character despite fan polls with over 300,000 votes GeekyZone is a UK retailer based in Leicestershire. All of our items are shipped from our showroom location. Choso earned the opportunity to take revenge on Yuji but could feel his impending death right before dealing the killing blow. It's a side effect of his composition as a Death Painting Womb and of his cursed technique. Choso can feel the death of his brothers and felt the same intense sensation from Yuji's impending death as he did from Eso and Kechizu's. Choso using a wave of blood and Slicing Exorcism to counter Naoya's speed by breaking his line of sight. Choso takes immense pride in being the oldest of ten siblings and who he is as a person directly tied to this. He believes that he needs to protect his younger brothers and serve as a dependable example because that's what an elder brother does. [8]Due to his family values and unconditional love for his siblings, Choso can't understand someone like Naoya Zenin. Naoya hates all of his older brothers because they are weaker than him. Choso argues that older siblings either present the road to travel or the one to avoid. He believes perhaps someone like Naoya is only strong because his brothers are weak. Unlike Naoya, Choso didn't have an older brother to show him the way so he always stumbled and made mistakes. Even so, Choso stands tall and walks the path ahead of his younger brothers and it is from this dedication that he draws strength. [9] Namely, as we soon found out, it turns out that Yuji’s mother, Kaori Itadori, and Choso’s father, Noritoshi Kamo, are one and the same person. Right now, this makes even less sense. However, this is where the huge twist is revealed. In actuality, both of them were Kenjaku, a formidable ancient jujutsu sorcerer who serves as one of the series’ key antagonists and one of its main villains. Specifically, Kenjaku can take control of any corpse by implanting his own brain within the body. With a bored expression on his face, Choso was going through the motions of a simple board game with Mahito and Pseudo-Geto when he learned Eso and Kechizu had perished, deeply upsetting him. [5] He agreed to fight alongside Mahito and Geto but ultimately only pursued the goal of avenging his brothers during the Shibuya Incident. In addition to jujutsu, Choso also excels in taijutsu, capable of standing up against a master martial artist like Yuji. Using his wit alongside assorted techniques to contend with Yuji's strength, Choso overcame his opponent to the degree that he could have ended his life. [22] This is even after Mechamaru helped the Jujutsu High student put the blood manipulator in a situation where he couldn't control it outside his body. [23] This is significant because Choso was going to kill Yuji after defeating him when he received the vision that caused him to turn around and save his life. This is the vision we spoke about before; as a result of that vision, Choso was convinced that Yuji was his sibling. Choso, a brotherly figure protective by nature, naturally switches sides and decides to spare Yuji and soon join him completely to shield him from danger.

GOOD SMILE COMPANY

And it’s not just raw power. Choso’s genius lies in his tactical intellect. Centuries of existence have blessed him with wisdom, allowing him to manipulate his abilities in ways unique to him, turning even dire situations to his advantage. In Conclusion: While Choso might be seen discussing game strategies with fellow cursed spirits like Mahito and Pseudo-Geto, his main motive remains clear: to avenge his brothers and protect his newfound family. This profound sense of duty and dedication is Choso’s strength. Being the eldest of ten siblings, he sees it as his responsibility to guide and protect, even if it means confronting foes as formidable as Kenjaku. Abilities that Astound: Choso was initially introduced as a villain in Jujutsu Kaisen, as the leader of the three Cursed Womb: Death Paintings. His two siblings were killed by Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki, which is why he wanted to kill both of them, with Yuji being his primary target. Haruta Shigemo • Jiro Awasaka • Juzo Kumiya • Kenjaku • Niji Ebina • Ogami • Ogami's grandson • Sukuna • Uraume Does anyone think it’s significant that Yuji‘s memory-altering ability seems to only be effective on humans? It fully worked on Todo; he really believes that he and Yuji are “brothers.” Choso seems to be struggling to accept the false memory, which could be because he’s only half human. It never activated against Mahito, and Yuji’s fought him more than once. This leads me to believe that this is not an innate cursed technique of his, or else he’d be able to use it effectively against cursed spirits. I think it might be a curse itself, born out of his grandpa’s desire for Yuji to be surrounded by friends, and that’s why it seems to be targeted toward humans.
