The V5 Shift rangefinder is slightly smaller and less expensive that Bushnell's top model. Courtesy photo The Precision Pro NX10 is one of the very best rangefinders we've reviewed, and comes in at a price that makes it a smart choice for just about anyone. It’s the spookiest time of year and the latest limited collection of @truelinkswear’s Dead Golfer has dropped just in time! Choosing the best rangefinder for golf really depends on you. Ask yourself: Is budget a concern? What features do I need? How durable do I want it to be? Do I need it to be waterproof? These questions and more go into the decision to improve your golf game with some of the best rangefinders out. Impressive! I’m in the process of buying my first laser range finder. Been using my phone for yardage for years and it probably costs me a few strokes per round. I’ll have to give the Cobalt Q-6 slope a closer look!

And with Bushnell being a little bit slow to come out with any new devices, much of the hype has come from some of the eager upstarts in the budget to mid-tier price range like Precision Pro and Blue Tees.

Setup & Ease of Use

this is truly a precision target device that exceeds quality and happy to hear the quality is top notch. love the simplicity. The functionality is great. It is well constructed and easy to use. I also haven't touched on this feature but activating the SLOPE feature requires you to use a slider and then a bright orange light (see picture below) comes on so you and everyone else knows you are in slope mode (which is a good thing if you are playing in sanctioned competitions). Have been a GPS guy always, but I think range finder exacting yardages might help me now. This would be a great product to test The Nx7 was a great upgrade, it really does what it says on the Tin. It performs great, looks really cool and performed really well. Just like countless other golf accessories, rangefinders vary in price, and many golfers wonder how their personal handicap affects what kind of rangefinder they should invest in. Scott Moore, Garmin’s Lead Product Manager for golf, doesn't think skill level correlates to what level of rangefinder a golfer should consider using. “The more expensive rangefinders typically provide more information that can be useful to all levels of golfers. With more information, golfers can make better decisions about what club to use or how to manage misses,” says Moore.

Looks/Build - Performance is way more important but how does the rangefinder look? What case does it come in? Does it fit on my bag easily etc. Additionally, I compared it to my GPS watch. Not that this was necessary for testing but rather to help me decide what is really the best for me. Candice Wood, Trade Marketing Manager for Bushnell, thinks you should be aware, though, of what stepping up to a pricier rangefinder buys you. “As you progress up in price point, you get added features such as our patented Slope technology that provides you Tour-trusted compensated play as distances.”I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; if you’re playing golf without a quality laser rangefinder, you’re leaving shots out on the course. Fortunately for golfers, the number of impressive options in the category continues to grow with each passing year, so there’s really no excuse to make the game harder than it needs to be. One of the more impressive rangefinder options to hit the market recently comes from Cobalt Golf, which is an emerging brand with a storied history. I’ve reviewed nearly 3 dozen rangefinders on Breaking Eighty, so I have a pretty good idea of what’s worth buying based on your goals.
