Cleo Morey (Zoe Tapper), DS Grace (John Simm) and DS Branson (Richie Campbell). (Image credit: ITV) Which books will be adapted for Grace season 3? First pictures of Grace filming on location, 16 September 2020". Brighton & Hove News . Retrieved 7 March 2021. A group of friends on a stag night are involved in a road accident and are killed except the groom, a wealthy Brighton property developer who has vanished. Detective Superintendent Grace is called upon by colleague Detective Sergeant Branson to help. The search and investigation uncover lines of inquiry which involve his bride and his best friend and business partner.

In May 2021, Grace was commissioned for a second series. Filming began in September 2021 in the West Sussex town of Burgess Hill. The second series adapts the next three novels in the Grace series, Not Dead Enough, Dead Man's Footsteps and Dead Tomorrow. Broadcasting of the second series commenced in the UK on 24 April 2022, with Looking Good Dead as the opening episode. [13] At breakfast, Phillip informs her that he is considering a job at a local restaurant and wants to know if Nell is willing to give them another chance. She decides to take some time to think about it.

The first thing that jolted me was that an estimate was made of the victim's height from his femur and tibia...all well and good except that the victim is a legless, armless, headless torso. It's such an egregious error that I read and reread this bit just to be sure I hadn't missed something. I had not. In the episode, the character Gaia was a hopeful singer in Brighton heading to go on tour in LA. However, one viewer pointed out that in the book, Gaia is actually an American pop icon, who flew to Brighton to make her movie debut in a period drama filmed at the Pavilion — which is where the chaos ensues.

The John Simm led series, based on novels by Peter James, ran for just three two-hour eps in its third series, and has been hit by complaints that it's too violent to be on before the 9pm watershed. But viewers were a little bit split on the drama itself, with some annoyed at the cliffhanger ending and others concerned that the adaptation had drifted too far from the book. However, fans were seemingly distracted by the show's finale as they spotted a number of errors in the TV adaptation that were different from the book.

Who stars in Grace episode 3?

When businesswoman Katya Bishop is brutally murdered, all the evidence points to her businessman husband, Kit ( Arthur Darvill), especially when his girlfriend is also found dead in a similar manner. The only problem being, Kit has a solid alibi for both murders - so how could he possibly be in two places at once? Meanwhile, Grace becomes friendly with new forensic pathologist, Cleo Moray ( Zoe Tapper), but their relationship gets off to a bumpy start when she becomes the latest target of a hitman following every moment of Grace and his team. Could Kit Bishop be connected? And if so, will Grace manage to stop him before he commits any further crimes?

One character who may not figure in season 3 is ACC Alison Vosper, played by star of The Pact season 2, Rakie Ayola, after her character departed for a new role in London. I persevered as usually with this type of format the second half is exciting as it all comes together. However I felt completely let down. One character central from the start was just thrown away, completely wasted storyline, the man storyline was predictable and as for 2 of the other subplots they were very poorly given one paragraph to conclude in what can only be described as a damp squib of a conclusion. That wasn't the only problem for me. The relationship between some of the characters didn't ring true. It felt as though Grace had lost his zing. There were touches of it but the attitude toward his protege Glen felt very weak and the one with Cleo too cloying. Episode two will be titled Dead Man's Grip, while the third instalment is called Not Dead Yet. Full cast list for Grace Series Three: Towards the end, I felt like the summary of the novel was drawing out a little. Peter James usually summarises things in a few medium-length chapters, with some nods to future and past plots. However, there was one short, gripping chapter that made me gasp and keep reading - proving once again that Mr James sure knows how to keep me hooked. The issue of Sandy seems to be nearing a conclusion though I was a bit perturbed to see a very different version of the last few weeks between her and Roy's thoughts. He's a policeman - and didn't think anything was wrong? Her reason for leaving was understandable to an extent but weak weak weak to stay away regardless of the other issue she became embroiled in John Simm: from Life on Mars to death in Brighton, 6 March 2021".
