I will admit, I had a tear or two in my eye's towards the end. And I certainly had a few OH MY GOD, NO! WHAT? I just loved the way this book went and the way it opened up new twists, and an awful lot you just don't expect. I could have happily read another 2 or 3 books in this series right after finishing it, as there was some things I wanted to know more about. But we'll just have to wait to re visit them hopefully one day. On one side are the Mitchells, a notorious underworld mob from East London's Canning Town. They have an iron in every fire and will resort to intimidation and violence to get what they want. When Stanley Smith's lovely young daughter, Jessica, announces that she is to marry Eddie, the son of mob boss Harry Mitchell, Stanley is horrified, but too afraid to stand in their way. Kenny, Beau and Brett have the fight of their lives on their hands, but they will never surrender. After all, the family’s honour is at stake and nothing is more important than family.

Then along comes a family that stand and face the Bond family head on, will Kenny do what’s required to protect his family at all costs? Dark secrets are spiralling out of control and have the power to destroy them all for good. Is this the final nail in the Butler family coffin? I should warn those of a nervous disposition there is a very upsetting scene involving a child, but those use to the authors work know she keeps her books ‘real’ and that includes subjects that are often difficult to read about.Kimberly Chambers is one of those rare authors who has a gift for creating colourful characters, that are larger than life, you feel you know them inside out, and despite their flaws a small part of you can’t help but fall in love with everyone of the Bonds, even the ‘not rights’. it’s a testament to the authors writing that she can make you laugh and cry at their antics, love and hate them, all in the space of a few minutes! This book got me through the worst days I have ever experienced. I have a long way to go, but I was discharged today. It's going to be hard going for Kimberley to better this book, But I'm sure she'll manage it, (No Pressure Kim)

Hungry for more new 2022 books?

The final thrilling showdown between the Mitchells and the Butlers. This is Kimberley Chambers at her heart-stopping best! As Terry Keane went to sleep that night, he was positive that he'd endured the worst of the festive season. Unfortunately for him, the nightmare had only just begun. I did cringe at one part but I totally understand why, as we need to be reminded how dangerous these men are.

After winning a competition the Bakers became Queenie's neighbors in The Wronged. I would like say a massive thank you to Kimberly for giving Chester my moggy a mention after he sadly passed away last year. Words cannot describe how over the moon I was to read that. And as I said with the last bookThe Wronged, I didn't believe Kimberley could match it, By god how this woman likes to prove you wrong. she's freakin smashed it with this book. And this book just show's why Kimberley Chambers is the favourite author of many, many people. She is certainly one of my all time favourite authors. Yes they are evil little brats and I’m used to KC psychopathic characters but at the same time some of their exploits made even me feel a bit uncomfortable and apprehensive. I was in ICU for 3 days and moved onto a high dependency ward. On day 4, unable to communicate, I signalled to the nurse to help me put in one ear pod and sync the pods and my tablet. She pressed play.

Career

Kimberly Chambers is a queen of gangland crime and needless to say, she has outdone herself with this novel. From the storyline to all the characters (and trust me there are so many), she wrote an outstanding mystery thriller based in the gangster world.

Kenny is released and the story unfolds in a rollercoaster of violence, secrets, lies and crime and of course good old fashioned FAMILY VALUES. If you are looking for a bit of evil in your reading world then this series is a must. I guarantee that Vinny Butler is one character you won’t soon forget.There were one or two scenes that were a bit too gratuitous, even for me! I suppose they are in there to fully portray what the character was really like, deep down.
