I managed to get my hands on a vintage Organza and it is so different from the reformulated version. It’s much smoother and the nutmeg doesn’t come off as chemical. Nor is it powdery. The reformulated version is very powdery on me. The dry down is the same for both though lighter in the reformulated. All in all, the vintage Organza is richer overall with clearly better quality ingredients.

One of my mum's favorites, I still remembered this weird-looking bottle on her vanity from the 90s, but had no recollection of the smell, so I had to try it. This is a very feminine and regal perfume. I've only tried it on me twice, once in the winter and once in the summer, and the performance was COMPLETELY different. However, the perfume performs wonderfully in both seasons, but I especially liked the summer version. Not for the faint of heart, though, use sparingly. I just reviewed the notes that Organza and Tocade have in common - sweet vanilla, jasmine, amber, and that soft but strong, powdery iris note are probably the most noticeable. The fragrances share bergamot, "green notes" and cedar as well. MAGICAL!!! HEAVENLY!!! FEMININITY AND CLASS IN THE BOTTLE! I have been postponing this review, because I wanted to find the right words to describe this miracle... The green here is that of spring, enveloping gardenia and then you have that magical pinch of nutmeg.

I don't want to use expression sexy, although this perfume is like a magnet. Sexy in this fragrance is not cheap sexy, Organza is sophisticated, elegant, grown up woman. One of the most beautiful perfume bottles I have ever seen, a real celebration of femininity and elegance. Organza opens with slightly sweet white florals, laced with a hint of warm spice. There is a hint of greenness which complements the florals beautifully, adding some stem-like freshness to the bouquet. There is very little citrus to my nose.

Givenchy used to make big opulent perfumes, and Organza certainly is opulent. There's a tiny hint of spice to O, which makes the florals more interesting. Like Amarige, Organza is not the scent for someone with a faint heart. I assumed, wrongly, that this would be easy to pull off. The dark red juice alone should've been a tip off. The list of all ingredients used in the composition of our products may be subject to change as European regulations evolve. It would seem that rotating Givenchy III, Scherrer (JLS) and the sylvan Laurent’s Y have piqued me in enjoying Organza. Perhaps my previous rotations were hostile to Organza but the greens to which it shares kinship with seemed to have uplifted it. I got this as a gift as a pre-teen and it was one of my first experiences with real, fancy perfume as opposed to body sprays. In hindsight, this is not really a scent suited to a 10 or 11-year-old 😅. This is very nutty, really milky, a little even sour in milkiness, but never nauseous like some nutty scent can be. Jasmin and spices are just right here.Either way, this is by no means to say that Organza is a bad perfume - I still adore its scent from the bottle, but that just so happens that it no longer suits me, which happens. I can only add that this is probably best to be worn in colder times of the year only because summer doesn't do Organza much justice, and it can become suffocating. Such an elegant scent! It opens up a bit sharp and powdery but as the day progresses it becomes more and more woody and soft. I love it. It's complex and unique, and doesn't feel dated at all.

I get moderate sillage, excellent projection and a magnificent fourteen hours of longevity on my skin. One of the most feminine fragrances I have ever experienced. Very refined and elegant. A timeless classic which is not dated. Gardenia and tuberose are predominant and the jasmine and peony add to the delicate initial impression. What raises this fragrance out of the Ho hum floral category are the wood base notes which provide structure. This is a fragrance for romantic encounters. It is so feminine and lovely in its affect that it would be perfect for wearing a soft, full skirted dress, made with the fabric organza.

I live in bear country and I think this might be a better assault device than my pepper spray. It’s just that strong. If only the atomizer had range I’d also like to recommend you take her for a test drive on your day off, or minimally start with 1, maybe 2 sprays. See how she performs for you..
