Description

The Danger Gang is a children’s adventure book written by Tom Fletcher, illustrated by Shane Devries, and published in 2018. It follows the story of a group of children who must save their town from a dangerous villain who has stolen a powerful invention.

The book is useful for KS2 children, which refers to Key Stage 2 in the UK educational system, because it promotes creativity, imagination, and problem-solving skills. The Danger Gang is a thrilling adventure that captures children’s imaginations and encourages them to think critically about the challenges that the characters face. The book also explores themes such as friendship, teamwork, and overcoming adversity, which are important for children’s social and emotional development. In this resource, your class will practise identifying and creating contractions. They will have to read the sentences, spot the words they can shorten and fill in the appropriate contraction. The electrifying number one bestselling adventure from the author of The Christmasaurus and The Creakers, Tom Fletcher! Based on chapter 4 of ‘The Danger Gang’, your class will have to highlight all the verbs used in the texts provided and determine the tense in which they are used (Past/Present).

A wonderful book about storms, super powers, and a super-villanous organisation. Reccomended to younger kids. All seems normal until, following a terrific storm one night, with flashes of eerie green lightning and a definite whiff of poo, Franky notices a change in the people around him. First, Eric turns into a shark whenever water touches him, then Mollie becomes invisible, and Franky keeps glimpsing shadowy figures lurking at the edge of his vision. Convinced these bizarre occurrences are connected to the storm, he and his new friends form The Danger Gang and make it their mission to investigate the peculiar events. Green stinky storms, a weird town, superpowers?, friendship, and more! A delightful and hilarious book! I really liked the strange things in it. My favourite bit was when they shrunk down to be the size of the model because it was cool.

The story is a set of letters he sends to his best friend on how he’s getting on and updating her on all the crazy things they get up to. What a great book. It’s very fun to read, even for the adult reading the book. I have been sharing this book with my almost 6 year old son as a bed time story. He has laughed so much and has been eager to read the next chapter. The story is fun, and so are the illustrations. Highly Recommend! I liked this book and thought it was cool that they created a danger gang when he moved away. Bet he was nervous moving away from his friends. I’m glad he made some new friends.I recommend it for people that like suspense and crazy things. I read it as a class novel and we all loved it. It is a very good book about teamwork! I like the beginning of the storey when Erik was swimming in the pool and suddenly there was some green flashes and Erik turned into a shark. Tom Fletcher did it again! A fun, exciting, storm-tastic, superpowers and friendship filled story. I flew through it! This resources focuses on the information in chapters 8 and 9 of ‘The Danger Gang’. Your class will have to correctly punctuate the sentences from the extracts taken from the book. They will fill in all the appropriate: capital letters, full stops, commas, exclamation marks and question marks. This book made me jealous that all the children in the story had really cool superpowers and i don't! Some of the children could turn into sharks when getting wet!

After moving house and area, Franky struggles to fit in with a new school. He communicates with his friend from his past school, Dani by letter - and this is the basis of the book. We basically follow Franky writing his letters to Dani, every month - and how he gets on settling into a new school, and dealing with family (including a baby brother). Tom's books have been translated into thirty-nine languages, and to date he has sold over 5 million copies of his books in the UK alone. Great fun following Franky as he moves house to a town called ‘Freaky’, makes a great set of friends, and together they form the awesome Danger Gang. In this resource your LKs2 class will have to read the sentences and fill in the missing words using the word bank.

I was intrigued by this book because of its name, I liked this book because it had super powers like invisibility ext ext, my favourite part was when the hamster went colossal big and used the Farris wheel as a exercise wheel. Read by Tom Felton, this is the electrifying new adventure from bestselling author of The Christmasaurus and The Creakers, Tom Fletcher.

This book was interesting and creative, with an array of different powers and objects. It all starts when Franky Brown moves to the town of Freaky, and there is a smelly storm and the kids in the town of Freaky get all of these cool abilities and things!!! A hilarious, touching and extraordinary new fable from the author of The Boy in the Dress and Mr Stink.

But everything changes after the storm, when strange green lightning and powerful thunder crash down on the town. From that night on, the kids who live on Franky's street start to change. One by one, they become a little odd. A little unusual. A little... magical. Your class will read the passage describing how thunder and lightning storms happen. The pupils will use the information and answer the questions provided to describe how thunder storms happen.
