R-41M features Single Gold Plated Binding Posts - 5-way type posts and R-51M has a Single Gold Plated Binding Posts - 5-way type posts. None of these speakers feature bi-amping/bi-wiring. This implies that even with high power, your speakers aren’t going to suffer from damage or distortion. This is especially useful when it comes to preventing damage to speakers from electrical surges and outages. First off, these are small speakers, just 11.3″ x 5.75″ and 7.9″ deep, so if you’re looking for speakers that’ll visually impress your guests as they enter the room, I suggest you look elsewhere. S15 can handle a max power of 100 watts RMS from the amp the whereas R-41M has a max power handling value of 50 watts RMS, 50 watts less than the S15.

Add more bass to the R-41Ms with a matching subwoofer, or team them with other Klipsch Reference speakers for high-impact home theater. Klipsch speakers are a lot of fun and really come to life at higher volumes. Most people agree that their signature sound makes them very well-suited for home theater. They are decent for listening to music, but if high volume listening is not a requirement, there are better alternatives within the same budget. S15 features Single Gold Plated Binding Posts type posts and R-41M has a Single Gold Plated Binding Posts type posts. None of these speakers feature bi-amping/bi-wiring. Certified with CE (Conformité Européene) compliance, this speaker meets European safety, health, and environmental protection requirements. It does not come with an amplification device, meaning users need to connect it to an external amplifier or receiver. This comparison is a difficult one because both speakers are excellent for the money. The SS-CS5 is a 3-driver speaker that goes up to 50 kHz, which, unless you’re a dolphin or a bat, you might not care about; yet the music has a sense of airiness that’s unmatched by the R-41M.The peak power rating of the R-41M is 200W. This is great because the Klipsch proprietary LTS horn-loaded tweeter and the image-molded graphite woofer can only use about 50W of continuous power. On my right I had the Pioneer SP-BS22-LR and on the left the Klipsch R-41M. With levels matched and playing one channel at a time, the R-41M had no bass. It was all mid to highs. And boy, are those some highs. If you have not shaved, they are sharp enough to do that for you. I can see without a reference an inexperienced listener would instantly like them as "more clear, more detail, better imaging, etc." Switch to Pioneer though and you hear such a balance in tonality. Bass is there and overall sound is warm and pleasant. Not so with R-41M

Size of a speaker can sometimes become an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons. In this section, we are going to compare Klipsch R-41M's and Klipsch R-51M's external dimensions. Klipsch R-41M has external dimensions of 287.0 x 146.0 x 200.0mm ( 11.2 x 5.7 x 7.8inch) whereas Klipsch R-51M has external dimensions of 338.0 x 178.0 x 215.0mm ( 13.3 x 7.0 x 8.4inch) . The overall build quality of these speakers is not going to falter, after all, it is Klipsch. The brand’s signature copper spun woofer is equipped with a 1-inch LTS aluminum tweeter. One of the things you notice about the R-41M’s soundstage is that they are designed for a central listening position, as opposed to the sound being evenly spread across the room. This makes them especially good as desktop speakers or home theater setups, but not as good for filling out a room. Verdict

Classic Klipsch sound at a great value

Similarly to the rest of the Reference family (the older R-14M, R-15M, and the R-51M), the R-41M loses a bit on the lower frequency side, but truly we can’t expect more from the size and budget of these speakers. But the speakers are good at handling low to midrange sound thanks to the 1-inch LTS aluminum tweeter that is paired with the Tractrix Horn of 90×90 square. While the R-41M has a frequency range of 68 Hz – 21 kHz, the Polk T15’s frequency range is 48 Hz – 40 kHz, meaning the latter can reproduce lower frequencies and give you a more robust bass performance. Talking about the hardware, it is almost the same as what the R41M has in it. There is a 1-inch LTC aluminum tweeter in this speaker and pairs well with the Tractrix Horn of 90×90 square.

Made from MDF (medium-density fiberboard), the housing material ensures durability and stability, providing a solid foundation for optimal sound reproduction. The speaker has a bass reflex feature, enhancing low-frequency response and delivering deep bass tones. Let’s take a look at these popular loudspeakers and analyze their pros and cons, who they’re intended for, and what alternatives the market offers. About the author Just like other Klipsch speakers, the R-41M is a horn-loaded speaker. It uses 90×90° Tractrix horn technology to reduce any artificial reverb. This way, the R-41M improves sound quality. The R51M also comes with a similar design but they are significantly bigger than the R41M. These speakers also come with the same outlooks and persona. But these speakers are more geared towards audiophiles as the speakers come with massive power output. That should go a fair way towards balancing out the sound. Considering how directive the horns are, so your choice of on-axis angle is going to have a big impact. Granted, there's only so far you can go. 30 degrees off axis is about as far as is realisitic in a typical home setup. Though you could try extreme toe in too.

Klipsch R-41M Speaker System Review

Since you are going to connect these speakers to an amplifier or a receiver, keep in mind that their impedance is 8 ohms compatible. Be sure to select a compatible amplifier to get the best and safest results. Sound compared to a lower max handling speaker. Loudness or the sound level is also impacted by parameters

The exclusive Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) minimizes distortion for enhanced, detailed performances. Kapton® is an extremely light and rigid material used in the tweeter suspension to provide high efficiency and improve resolution and detail. LTS tweeters are a hallmark of Klipsch speakers, making it a core component of some of the best speakers in the world. I own a pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers. I love them for good reason: theysound great.I also love the classic look of ahorn-loaded tweeter above a burnished copper-colored woofer. This pairof compact, affordable R-41Mscontinues the Klipsch tradition of crafting high-quality speakers that offer powerful, lifelike sound. The tweeter here is equipped with linear travel suspension technology and it ensures minimal distortion with more details in all the notes. Klipsch has used Kapton to construct these tweeters to significantly improve the resolution even better than its predecessor models. range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. While using an amplifier within this range ensures the nominal performance , inputting a power that is higher than the max wattage can result in a damaged speaker. Thanks to its versatility, the Klipsch R-41M will work well as part of a home theater setup as well as in an audio system for small/medium-size rooms. Bear in mind you might need a subwoofer in both cases to achieve optimal surround sound. Now, let’s get to the juicy part. The sound coming out of the R-41M is crisp and pristine, and it gets more vibrant when you increase the volume. The R-41M has a straightforward yet elegant design in terms of its looks. Its wood grain vinyl, cooper woofers, and exposed fasteners all contribute to its modern but timeless appeal. The speakers are also relatively quite small in size. They don’t weigh a ton either. The pair of speakers only weighs in at 7 lbs each. This is relatively light when compared to other bookshelf speakers of the same power and performance level.
