Then, using a spanner in a confined space, you need to loosen/tighten the bit, similar to the way you would a drill. It might be nice to get the measurements of the lowest point that the collect can get and also the width of the base plat. Measured values determined in accordance with EN 60745 Vibration total values (vector sum of three directions). When trying to change the chuck (the bit that surrounds the collet), it stayed in the router once the chuck was out.

Having said that, if I was starting out with little cash, I'd be confident in its abilities, and use it as a second router when I could afford the 'proper' stuff. It's maybe not a 'pro' tool, but it achieves professional results and gets a hearty 5 stars from me. About 20 hours use over 13 months, yes just out of warrantee, so I have a new looking router that is not worth repairing. I almost forgot, whilst using it I 'could actually see the blade and cutting edge because there a two LED lights either side of the collet! So far i have used it to make some kitchen plinths narrower and for cutting a shelf to the right size.

There is a sort of depth block, so once you set it up you dont have to worry about going too deep, not deep enough or just being inconsistent. Probably other sets would work as well, but I wanted to make sure the weak link was likely to be me, so any necessary problem solving would have a simple starting point!

To make sure you've got the right plunge router - 1/4' collet: Some plunge routers have a single speed whereas others have variable speed settings. I did not want to stick plastic rails to my wooden project for I didn't want "naff" so used the router to create gooves in the wood itself. By rotating it to a particular position you can gain few extra centimeters or so, but effectively disabling selector during those cuts. I should start this off by saying this was my first router, so I dont have anything to compare it to.Nice feel to it and has some safety features which assist in preventing flying wood from flying into face etc. It comes with a guide, as in the picture, which is nice and stable and allows you to quite easily line the bit up. Please note that cordless products will normally have a shorter warranty of just 1 Year for the battery and or charger supplied. This is my first plunge router and router at all for heavier work so it’s written as a beginner in routing.

The better your problem and question is described, the easier it is for other Bosch owners to provide you with a good answer. There were many points to measure so I made this picture instead and numbered some measures for easier referencing. In the end I set it up by eye and did a few test cuts before using it freehand on the panel I needed to rout out. We assume no liability for failed deliveries caused by incorrect addresses, absence of the recipient, customs charges or issues, or force majeure. I have used it only for a few projects and a few weeks, but I am impressed by the creative possibilities I have now. I used it straight away on renovating an old wooden sailing boat, tackling some meaty lengths of wood, and it didn't flinch. Its 1400-watt motor and features such as routing depth adjustment and constant electronic enable even demanding routing jobs to be done.
