I love most things fae related so was fairly hopeful going into it in the first place and it didn’t disappoint.

It’s better than Throne of Glass (which was so bad I couldn’t finish it), it’s better than ACOTAR (which I also disliked) and I even think it’s better world building and better prose than the 4th Wing and Iron Flame (which are edited very poorly, especially fight scenes). With a richly imagined world, a dark and luscious story and characters that were brilliantly done, House of Beating Wings was a phenomenal start to a new series!
