The nut was perfectly cut, I've noticed a few dead spots on the tuners, but they hold tuning without issue. There's a tiny bit of fret buzz in the 13th fret of the B string, I suspect the fret is slightly lower than the rest, but it's hardly noticeable through the amp. They're the only flaws I had regarding playability, and honestly it's extremely minimal. A metallic paint has tiny pieces of aluminium powder mixed into the paint. The metal particles reflect light, hence the shine. Metallics look their best under direct, natural light, but even on a dull day they still shine. Some color formats use the same notation, and the conversion will guess the composition of the search query. As an example, if you try to convert the string "214°, 59%, 48%" it could be an HSV or HSL color, the conversion will assume HSL in this case. If you one of the standard paint options, there’s no reason at all not to go for it – but solid paint doesn’t draw the eye in the same way that a metallic finish does, and buyers on the used market may often favour a car with metallic paint.

I have only been playing it out of the box and the intonation is pretty good. The action is a little high but that’s an easy fix. The fretboard is unusual as it is that pao ferro. There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just different from my rosewood fretboards. The coil tap is an interesting feature that actually does give a strat like tone, although I don’t know if I would use it that often. Overall even my wife and daughter could not believe what I paid for this guitar, my wife even said it looks great as decoration in the house. They also loved the sound of it through my little Fender practice amp. Pearlescent paints shine even more brightly and deeply than metallics, but they tend to be more expensive, and also need more car taken of them. There's a few minor visual blemishes on the binding & fret ends where it looks like it was scuffed by a fretting tool, as well as a small mark on the fretboard. There's also some small blemishes on the paintwork & the gold plating has rubbed off on the tune-o-matic bridge where my hand is positioned while playing. Again, absolutely none of that effects playability & the overall look is stunning. Have you every wondered, how many different blue tones Porsche offered? Did you know, that between two 911s in the same color there could be a gap of more than 60 years? Today, we want to take you an a journey through Porsche’s long history, presenting you some of the most striking blue tones, ranging from Azure Blue and Petrol Blue up to Miami Blue. Azure Blue – Porsche 356 pre A (1951-1953) There are various methods for achieving a matte finish: using a primer with a high epoxy content, a high PVC content in the paint itself, or a flattening agent in the lacquer. Whichever method is used, the paint absorbs more light than it reflects, producing a dull sheen with a certain texture to the colour that has an appeal.

Solid paint is cheaper to produce and apply to a car when it is being built, and most manufacturers offer a limited selection of no-cost solid paint choices on a new model; options vary, but you may find a car has three solid paint options as standard (although some cars have only one free paint option), with red, white, blue and grey being common colours. There are yet more possibilities if you’re buying a car made from carbon fibre. Pagani, for instance, can add a coloured tint to the carbonfibre during the material’s manufacturing process – for the price of a whole, brand-new Ferrari. Bugatti charges a similar amount to have no paint at all, just highly lacquered, bare carbon fibre.

If none of the above floats your boat, various car manufacturers use a range of other techniques to give even more lustrous finishes in a seemingly infinite spectrum of colours. You pay for it, though, with special finishes often adding thousands of pounds to the cost of a car. The color of a sports car is always an expression of the owner’s personality. Colors always arouse emotions and therefore, choosing the right color for presenting a vehicle is key to sales success afterwards. Not many sports car makers are that much into the play of colors as Porsche. In recent years, the Porsche brand and their customers showed more courage for color, which led to a real renaissance of blue cars. The cost to paint a car in the factory varies from paint to paint, while getting a respray done can cost thousands of pounds, as components need to be removed or thoroughly masked off, and a car will often need repairs or corrective work before it is resprayed. Individual body panels can often be resprayed for hundreds rather than thousands, though. Only the Porsche 911 short wheelbase (SWB) models were offered in Aga Blue, which is a medium blue, combined with touches of grey and green. In the late 60’s, darker colors like bottle-green became more popular again. It harmonizes particularly well with the addition of chrome trim, yellow indicators and especially red interior materials. Aga Blue has the color code 6608 and perfectly represents the spirit of the time. This is my first HB guitar, and my first budget guitar, too. I've bought it to try a 335 shape out and see for myself what's the hype is about. I've been playing for more than ten years now (though I'm a bassist first and foremost), over the years I've had many expensive instruments - Gibsons, Fenders, what have you, so my expectations were set high. And so far, I'm very impressed with this axe, I like it a lot. There's some room for improvement, more on this below. In the details section, you first get a summary of the color and, if available, a description like "dark muted red". You can see the color distribution in different formats. For example, in the RGB format, you get to know the amount of red, green, and blue in your color.

On the flip side, pearlescent paints are even more susceptible to marks, they’re even more difficult to repair than metallics, and special care needs to be taken when washing a pearlescent car, as they’re relatively susceptible to damage from tiny bits of grit that may be on your car-washing sponge.
