Description

The only downside for us when you compare using the Scrubba to a washing machine is it leaves your clothes a little more wet. However, when you consider the price difference and also the fact you can buy a Scrubba wash and dry kit which makes drying even easier it’s a small downside really. As for the TPU coating—TPU stands for thermoplastic polyurethane—all you need to know is it’s used for waterproofing, plus it helps make things resistant to tears, abrasions, and overall wear. Scrubba Wash Bag Mini Material The amount of water necessary depends on how many clothes you have inside. Thankfully, there’s a useful guide on the front of the wash bag that can be used in conjunction with the see-through panel—Scrubba really has thought of everything. Scrubba does make a travel towel that would help with this. It weights about 6 oz, and is big enough to use as a beach towel at a little over 25″ x 54″. We like to roll our clothes in a dry towel after we’ve wrung them out to get even more water out. We found this can really aid in the overall drying time.

Apart from the performance, it also comes with some useful features that are not available in many other similar products. For instance, the size and weight of this wash bag make it incredibly portable.

Come back when you're older

The Scrubba Wash Bag is purpose-built for travel, where weight and space are at a premium. Fortunately, this things weighs in at a mere 5 ounces and can be rolled up or easily folded to save space. Adding to its benefits for travel, the Scrubba Wash Bag can also double as a dry bag. Versatile products that have multiple uses are always sought after, and we’re happy to see that Scrubba has delivered on this front. Sometimes we’d jump in the shower with our clothes on and wash them in there, wringing them out and hanging them up afterwards.

The Scrubba wash bag is a human-powered wash bag machine. It has a large twist-style valve and a flexible washboard inside, which allows it to wash your clothes like an actual washing machine. The Scrubba Wash Bag even has benefits over a washing machine too. By washing your clothes inside a Scrubba you’re using far less water, and it uses no energy (apart from a tiny bit of your own, of course). For smaller loads, this thing is also a lot faster than a washing machine, which is a huge bonus. Durability & Testing One important thing to note is that you should not use bleach in the Scrubba wash bag. It will impact the lifespan of the wash bag negatively. How Much Can You Wash In The Scrubba? You start by filling the bag with soap, clothes, and water. Then, you roll it up, clip it, and deflate it. At this point, it is INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT that you close the air vent after deflating. (Can you tell that we speak from experience here? You really don’t want to forget this step.) From there, you can scrub, rinse, and then hang your clothes up to dry. Push down onto the clothes putting pressure onto the washboard through the clothes. You will soon start to see the water changing colour through the see through panel and it really doesn’t take long to get your clothes washed. Step 5 - Empty the dirty water out

Material & Aesthetic

Just as you do with a standard dry bag - roll the opening of the Scrubba down as tight as possible to prevent any leaks. Then clip together. Step 3 - Deflate the Scrubba using the valve At the time of this review, we’ve been testing the Scrubba Wash Bag for just over a month, and it’s seen plenty of use on our travels around the UK. Impressively, it’s still looking as good as new. Scrubba Wash Bag Craftsmanship Another alternative washing method I do with REALLY dirty clothes is keep the dry bag open and just use it as a container essentially. Then I just use my hands inside the bag to use my hands to directly agitate it in the water. Better yet, it can wash twice as effectively as compared to hand washing. What Cleaning Liquid Do You Use In A Scrubba?

The Scrubba works, and with some experimentation – perhaps some extra scrubbing and better detergent – we think it will get your clothes clean. If you're happy carrying another piece of travel gear in your luggage and don't mind the limited capacity, it's certainly going to save you some money over hotel laundry costs in the long term. Empty dirty water, and rinse with clean water. You might need to rinse it twice if a lot of soap remains.Besides, it is not hard on your hands or arms to use. You will be able to wash clothes more comfortably using this wash bag compared to hand washing. Account icon An icon in the shape of a person's head and shoulders. It often indicates a user profile. This doesn’t sound like anything too difficult, and it’s not. But the truth is hand washing your clothes is time consuming, and often doesn’t let you get your gear perfectly clean (especially if you’re trying to do this after you’ve been on a multi-day hike. There are moments when you can get away with wearing a shirt past its prime, cleanliness wise—like when you’re camping, city strolling, or if you just #DGAF. The same cannot be said for undergarments. Scrubba Wash Bag Mini Flat Anyone who's travelled knows the feeling. After a few days of pounding the pavement, mountain trails or shopping malls, you start to feel the grime of being a tourist. If you're somewhere with a local laundromat, you're going to have to brave a visit, or else mortgage yourself for the hotel laundry prices. But now there's another option – just bring a wash bag that has a built-in washboard. How the Scrubba works
