I am absolutely OBSESSED with the marriage of convenience trope right now…while they may have gotten married on a whim, they decide to stay married temporarily to benefit them both. Eloise needs her parents to finally hand over the Eloise Hotel, and another irresponsible move might derail those plans. Jasper had a difficult past with an ex, and needs Eloise to attend an event with him. To make this believable they immediately move in together and have to learn to live with each other. Their chemistry was off the charts from day 1, their communication not so much. They have to learn to talk to each other. They have to learn each other’s tell and cues. What do you think they learn? I think it might just be that they are head over heals in love with each other 😍 I loved the mystery element of the story. I love that it's not predictable and really kept you guessing until the final revelations. I also loved the relationship between Winn and Griff. Winnie is no push over and she doesn't take any of Griff's attitude. But it also doesn't take long for their chemistry to push past all of their boundaries and man was it satisfying to see Griff's possessive side show through.

I don’t know who you are or what you’re doing, but I’m having a conversation with Winnie,” Skyler said, standing taller. I really liked how Mateo got thrown into the story in this book. It definitely felt like the setting up for the sixth book (which I am guessing will be his). I liked having all the others involved as side characters and having their story lines continue as well, I just wish I would have gotten a little bit more from Talia.

Retailers:

I definitely think that that is the only reason I really liked this book because the romance alone would have not made this a complete story. The Edens are definitely my favorite small town family — I love every literary trip to Quincy I take! I feel like this might not be the most popular opinion, but prior to Jasper Vale coming out, my favorite of the leading men was Foster. I LOVE a fighter and an underdog and my god did he put together a good grovel. That’s not to say Knox isn’t the supreme single-mom lover, and that Griffin isn’t the hottest Montana cowboy, but that’s what I love about Devney’s guys — they are all fantastic! With that said, Jasper… oh Jasper, he has taken the top spot for me. He is perfection. Quiet, a little grumpy, but ALWAYS in Eloise’s corner. Heat level: Alright. They have some tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Devney is the USA Today bestselling author of the Jamison Valley series. She lives in Montana with her husband and two children. After working in the technology industry for nearly a decade, she abandoned conference calls and project schedules to enjoy a slower pace at home with her kids. She loves reading and, after consuming hundreds of books, decided to share her own stories. Devney loves hearing from readers! Connect with her on social media. Jasper was an interesting character to say the least. Even if his dynamic and missed-up relationship with his ex-wife triggered me a little, ngl. I absolutely adored his persona and how he treated Eloise. Faking it or not he was just perfect . I really enjoyed learning about his past and his family along the way with Eloise, the more he confided the more I was choked but the bond between the two of them solidified the more Jasper opened up. Both of them needed each other, they complemented each other. He needed a compagne that he could trust blindly and she needed someone who could pull her out of her confort zone but also accept her with her tender heart.i really had the highest expectations for jasper’s book cause i thought he was so spicy in garnet flats but he fell well… flat I adored Eloise. She’s hardworking, so caring, and determined to not let anyone down. She gives her all to every person in her life. Jasper is a misunderstood sad boy who’s rough around the edges and needed someone to show him what it’s like to love and be loved. And Eloise was perfect for him. I loved their chemistry and how Eloise always filled the silence for him. And THE CRINKLE-EYED SMILES he gave her. My heart is still swelling. Not to mention this man’s MOUTH. Hands down hottest book Devney has written and I’m still not over it. So, as I said, Indigo Ridge is the first installment in Devney Perry’s new series called The Edens and, as you can imagine, is focused on the stories about the Eden siblings. This one starts with Griffin Eden’s story, the oldest sibling in the family. Griffin is the ranch manager, the brother who is always taking care of his siblings and a man not willing to compromise with any woman. Enter Winslow Covington. She is the new chief of police in Quincy, she is trying to fit in, and she happens to share a one-night stand with Griffin that is impossible to forget. These two fight against their continuous chemistry but it’s not that easy. Especially when they are forced to work together in a heartbreaking murder case. You know when you read a book and it exceeds your expectations SO MUCH you don’t want to finish it? You want to go slow and savor it? Well I binged this book because I COULD NOT get enough of these two. I loved it beyond words. And it wholly surpassed my expectations. The next time you talk about any other man inside this body, I’ll spank your ass so red you won’t sit for a week.”

Jasper must have put her under a spell with those soul-deep eyes because after a single night together, they woke up husband and wife. Her only hope is to keep this marriage a secret until it’s annulled. Then she’ll pretend it never happened. Jasper was introduced in the last book of the series as the coach to professional fighter, Foster, who is Eloise’s future brother-in-law. He’s a broody, mostly solitary guy who is temporarily living in Quincy while training and figuring out where life will take him next. A toxic relationship in his past has defined so much of his life, leaving him understandably not interested in anything beyond casual hook ups, and that has worked well for him. And then along came Eloise. I studied Sam, waiting for that familiar heartache and resentment to flood my veins. Instead, more nothing. so, the author positions this book like enemies to lovers and it’s not even nearly it. it’s just one-night stand to lover or something like that. but they had absolutely no banter or tension. winslow(h) and griffin(H) both are super boring people and i’m not interested in them or their lives at all. they literally have no personality atp and i won’t even remember their names a week later. there was even a line about their chemisty being “off the charts”.. they’re such clowns.

Select a format:

but really, how i even supposed to read this book with a straight face with this writing style?? it’s not like it would be shameful to write a good book babes😞. despite eloise knowing this kid wasn’t the right fit, she felt like she couldn’t fire him before he went all psycho killer because her mom would use it against her. then by the end of the story, all is forgiven just because they finally give her the hotel and make her the owner. THEY NEVER EVEN SAID CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR MARRIAGE OR APOLOGIZED FOR HOW THEY TREATED HER?! Griffin Eden have always lived in the small town Quincy, Montana with his whole family. They’re know as “Quincy royalty”. Griffin has now taken over his father’s ranch. On night at a bar Griffin meets a girl, he only thought she was a tourist, and that he’d never see her again. But we can all guess how that’s gonna go… I adored this book. I loved the characters, the setting, and the passionate, heartfelt story. It’s beautifully written, and I felt so much while reading, and it’s my favourite of the series so far. to make matters even worse because apparently they can get worse, jasper only realizes that he doesn’t feel anything for his ex…AT HER WEDDING—

An Advanced Review Copy of this book was generously provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Celebrating Garden Wildlife Week in the UK: Some advice from our local plant expert at City & Bloom Manchester The best time to read a book depends on your personal schedule and preferences. Here are some suggestions:Overall, reading is a valuable and enriching activity that can provide many benefits. Whether you read for pleasure, personal growth, or professional development, the time spent reading is never wasted. Griff is not one for entanglements of the heart himself. He's certainly not a relationship guy and he doesn't mess with the locals. So when he finds out that the beauty he shared one night with is the town's new chief of police, he's not exactly thrilled. He's also not entirely thrilled that she is doggedly investigating what is an apparent suicide in a long stream of suicides in the small town. INDIGO RIDGE' 📚 is the first full length small town romance book in the series 'The Edens', by Devney Perry. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.' they make her feel like every screw up will make her lose the hotel, which is why she hid the circumstances of her marriage with jasper. her mother even forced her to hire a psycho child, who wasn’t qualified in the first place, who then tried to kill her I was just utterly infatuated with both our MC’s and could not put the book down. One of my all town favourite small town series and I STRONGLY recommend you read this series. Please and thank you 💖
