Please Note: By their very nature, all signed books will have been handled several times before they get to you. When people plan to cut it down, a professor wants to save a rare species of spider, the golden diving bell species. I understand that this is a children's book but I think that there could be more effort put into the overall plot. Lana and Harrison are staying with their grandparents, when they discover their favourite tree to play in is under threat. It’s about Harrison and Lana and they go to stay with Nana and Grandad because it’s the Easter holidays, and at the bottom of Nana and Grandad’s garden is a magical hollow tree.

I adore middle grade novels, with all their creativity and imagination; and this one is no exception. Harrison sides with the spiders, whilst Lana wants to have an adventure playground AND the hollow tree. Then when Harrison is kidnapped by the evil Spider Queen, Lana knows she must do whatever it takes to find him. By having a boy and a girl as your protagonists, it would appeal to all children as they are all able to identify with them and follow them on their adventure.

As always, this Ben Miller book is a rich story of fantasy and adventure, and follows Lana and Harrison, staying with their grandparents, and a magical hollow tree. That night, a magical golden thread leads them up through the hollow of the tree into a storybook land, where wind and rain rage and a mysterious creature lives.

It's their favourite place to be so when they find out that it's under threat, they know something must be done. This is the story about how Lana and Harrison meet some spiders and end up on a magical adventure at night-time. Yes, I know this is a children’s book and probably not aimed at a 29 year old but it sounded like such a fun story. I loved the fact they went on an adventure and I love that it was set in a wood and I loved the comedy. Climb into the adventure of your dreams in the next classic adventure from bestselling author, Ben Miller. This eBook can be accessed through the free Dymocks eReader app, ( iOS, Android, Windows), or downloaded via Adobe Digital Editions (and other . Two kids like climbing up inside the hollow tree near their grandparents’, but they can’t as it’s in a building site, although the building works might be put off by the fact some endangered spiders have been found there. In comedy you listen carefully to the audience, the audience make you funny, so you really pay attention to them and you follow them and you end up having a lot of fun. That night, the girl of the siblings wakes up with a mahoosive spider’s thread stuck to her finger, so she wakes her brother and they follow it all through the house, all through the marsh to the tree, and all up the tree until lo and behold out the top they’re in another world, peopled by different versions of characters they’ve just met. Featuring Lana and Harrison, the adventure-loving siblings from the bestselling The Day I Fell into a Fairytale.

I love this book because she got sucked into her favourite book Beowulf and she made a friend who needed her help, and she needed his help. This may result in small marks to the dustjacket and title page, please also bear in mind that each signature will be a little different from the one we show here. and I knew I’d done that and I did it for a specific reason because I thought the story would be best told by children of that age. Climb into the adventure of your dreams in the next classic adventure from bestselling author, Ben Miller - out now! share the adventure in the latest top-ten family fairytale from bestselling author, actor and comedian, Ben Miller.

The underlying message to look after our ecosystem, even the parts that aren't cute and cuddly, was really heart-warming. I did enjoy the time when Lana transformed into a spider as the description of what spiders thought of humans and what it's like to be a spider but overall I didn't enjoy this book. So I really enjoy the school events since it’s a bit like doing comedy and a bit like being a teacher, so you have a bit of responsibility but not too much. He takes her to his cave and makes lots of magical potions in his cave and I think that would be a really fun place to go – into a bear’s cave! The moralistic element of saving eco systems, habitats is superb and it’s all channeled cleverly through the protagonist who makes a wrong choice at the start and has to make things right.

They discover that if they climb up inside this hollow tree and out of the top they can go inside their bedtime story. I wanted to read this book as I read other stories by Ben Miller and they're alwyas well plotted and gripping.

When I started out I was an actor so I really like performing in front of people, so school events are really great fun. That night, a magical golden thread leads them up through the hollow of the tree into a storybook land, where wind and rain rage and a fearsome beast terrifies all who live there. There are also kites – that’s where I got the idea for the kites in the story from – there are a pair who have nested in a tree in the woods. This portal fantasy follows the adventures of siblings, Lana and Harrison, when they are pulled into a story world by the thread of a spider.
