They made two stinkers (Sol Cresta and Babylon's Fall) this year and want to recoup that by re-releasing their other good games (Nier Automata and Bayonetta 1) in physical form to make up for it. Wouldn't surprise me if they port Star Fox Zero and Star Fox Guard to Switch too at some point. That physical copy is tempting… but with a few exceptions I avoid buying purely for collecting’s sake. An exception being re-buying Cave Story+ for the Japanese cover art (US release), even though I already had the first release physical edition. Maybe not my best move, but… oh well, maybe I’ll give away a copy. Nintendo was unsure how well the Bayonetta ports would sell since it wasnt particularly great on Wii U, so they wanted to have just 1 SKU and not have 1 & 2 compete. So 1 didnt get a physical since 2 is where Nintendos money is
