Universalise the best: An antiracist model for building healthy communities. The NHS Confederation’s BME Leadership Network is holding its annual lecture on 18 October at the House of Commons with Professor Kevin Fenton and Stephen Timms MP. SOLD OUT. Crisis Management: Prepare crisis communications scenarios, plans, and responses. This includes ensuring all risks are clearly identified with mitigation actions put in place. At times, you will also be required to provide guidance to our partners’ leadership teams during crises. Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka share a major milestone - gaining independence from British Rule. How each country moved forward is unique and contextualized to each region. In relation to architecture, these countries were collectively faced with housing crises, the restoration of heritage buildings, and a need for public institutions. A wave of decolonization washed over South Asia, utilizing modern architecture as a vehicle to liberate from the colonial period. But the spread of Christianity also spread the notion of man’s dominion over nature. In the long term, that attitude has contributed to climate change and driven our relentless push into remote areas, both things that can distribute new diseases as we rub up against nature in strange new ways. This is an inspiring book. It seamlessly weaves together theory in political science, psychology and sociology with the human stories, gathered in in-depth interviews, of people deeply engaged in important historical conditions and events. The concerns of the interviews range from identity, to commitment to causes and the moral meaning of actions. This is an important scholarly book that is a pleasure to read.' With the latest Campaign reportindicating representation is actually decreasing in the creative industries, this is a problem not only we face as an agency. For all the rhetoric about doing more to make agency life have a greater appeal, clearly something is not working. We’ll be the first to own that we didn’t do enough in the early years to engage a wider representation of today’s society in our recruitment process. If we want our work to be inclusive and wide reaching, so too does our team. Molly Andrews' reflective essay on political activism draws on her studies over the past twenty years in the UK, East Germany, the United States, and South Africa. Weaving her own life story into her accounts of the developmental trajectories of her informants, she provides a complex and perceptive analysis of what led them to their views, drew them into their movements for justice and peace, and sustained them in their difficult struggles. Her fine-tuned examination of the intersection between personal histories and shifting sociopolitical processes is an important contribution to the expanding area of research on narrative and identity within historical contexts.'
