Here’s a swatch of all three shades on my hand: “Petal” looks almost paper white on my skin, but there is a pink tint.

I didn't have high expectations for it, just because I thought it would be "just a powder" but it is incredible!It is packaged in a standard plastic tub container with a black twist-off cap with the large Kat Von D logo on it. I honestly wish their yellow tint could be stronger like the LM powder or the Sacha buttercup powder but since this the only shade(translucent) they have there's no more choice for me to choose from. So just because something might be problematic for person "A" that doesn't mean person "B" will have the same experience. The powder looks light, almost white, but it adapts to the color of the face and when applied, it illuminates without making it look white.

The only downside is that it is very fragile and broke on the first day of purchase, that's why I'm deducting one star. I don’t really know why I bought this as last week I just bought the L’Oreal Infallible 24 Hour liquid foundation and I was really happy with it. Since I have the “most foundations look orange/pink/red on me syndrome”, Golden works nicely to make the foundation shade more yellow.

I’m not normally into powder foundations because of my dry skin, but since I picked this one up, I find myself reaching for it more often than any of my other foundations.

It contains no fragrance and no pore-clogging ingredients or major irritants, which is great for people with sensitive skin like myself.Anyway, I decided to wear the Kat Von D Lock-It Powder Foundation today as, in my mind, it’s quicker to put on a powder than a liquid foundation (I’m not sure if that’s true in reality but I always think it’s true), and I was in a hurry to just chuck some make-up on my face and go, because it’s the last day my husband is here and we have to drive an hour to the airport this afternoon. I believe this can be solved by using a setting spray or something like MAC’s Fix + (which is NOT a setting spray, but it adds moisture). Most of what I’d heard about it was positive, and though I was 95% sure it wasn’t going to arrive in an inappropriate t-shirt, I was still afraid it wouldn’t live up to my expectations.
