Alpinestars no longer uses its K-Tech Kevlar paneling throughout the length of the pinky finger, unlike the discontinued Alpinestars GP Tech gloves (which were superseded by the Alpinestars Supertech gloves a few years ago). Regardless, the abrasion shielding afforded to the outside of these Alpinestars GP Pro R3 gloves, including pinky finger, is outstanding. There you have it, folks. The Alpinestars GP Pro R3 gloves are among the best motorcycle gloves for the money. As a result, the Alpinestars GP Tech v2 gloves cost almost as much as the Alpinestars Supertech gloves but have the same racing performance as the cheaper Alpinestars GP Pro R3 gloves. Tactility in the Alpinestars GP Pro R3 gloves is phenomenal and is certainly racing apt. Ditto for the gloves’ magnificent chassis dexterity. The Held Titan Evo gloves are genuine racing gloves that perform very well as street motorcycle gloves. The Alpinestars GP Pro R3 gloves aren’t as armored as the Held Titan Evo gloves but the GP Pro R3’s are slightly-more flexible and practical for daily riding or street riding. I use my Held Titan Evo gloves as street-riding gloves and love them, but the GP Pro R3 gloves are easier to put on and off, especially in hot weather. As a matter of fact, all of the above traits of the GP Tech v2 gloves are on par with those of the Alpinestars GP Pro R3 gloves, only that the GP Tech v2 gloves cost significantly more than the GP Pro R3 gloves.
