I recently received an LG 27UL650-W, the 2019 successor to the highly regarded 27UK650. Since the UK series is fairly popular among 4K gaming monitors, particularly when it comes to console usage, I thought I would provide a detailed review of the UL650 and how, if at all, it differs from the UK series. For reference, I previously owned the 27UK600 (same panel as the UK650). Moving on, theLG 27UK650 display supports AMD FreeSync, which provides a variable refresh rate (VRR) for compatible graphics cards. These specs, along with 4K UHDresolution, ensure a stunning image quality, and while the contrast ratio isn’t as high as that of the VA panel alternatives, you do get more accurate and consistent colors. On a 27″ screen of the LG 27UK650 monitor, 4K resolution results in a high pixel-per-inch ratio of 163 PPI, which makes for a lot of screen real estate and sharp details. The most widely used panels are those with 6, 8, and 10 bits for each of the RGB components of the pixel. They provide 18-, 24-, and 30-bit color, respectively.

HDCP 2.2 kompatibilis

Information about the maximum vertical viewing angle, within which the image on the screen is of acceptable quality. Both models have decent default gamma. Its close to 2.2 overall in Gamma Mode 2, though its lower (lighter) as the display approaches white. Not something that would be noticeable to an untrained eye though. Oct 23rd 2023 Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite X SoC for Laptop Leaks: 12 Cores, LPDDR5X Memory, and WiFi7 (32) The UL series sees an upgrade to DisplayPort 1.4, vs the UK series which had 1.2. Other than that, the connectivity options are the same.

The maximum number of colors, which the display is able to reproduce, depends on the type of the panel in use and color enhancing technologies like FRC.The LG 27UK650 has a fairly ergonomic stand with up to 110mm height adjustment, -5°/15° tilt, 90° pivot, and 100x100mm VESA mount compatibility. You cannot swivel the screen to the left/right. Performance between these two models is extremely similar. Unfortunately the UL650 unit I received has a poor contrast ratio of 850:1. This is the lowest I've seen among the IPS panels I've tested. In comparison, the UK600 model I owned had a native contrast ratio of 1100:1, which I would consider fairly typical, if not slightly above average for an IPS display.

Color accuracy overall was fairly good, and very similar to that of the UK600. I measured an average DeltaE of 2.3 on the UL650, with a maximum of about 4.5. I also measured a default color temperature on the UL650 of 6514K, where the UK600 had a less accurate color temp of 6800K. Keep in mind that native color temperature will vary between units of the same model, sometimes significantly, so I wouldn't draw any meaningful comparisons in terms of color temp. Other than that, the LG 27UK650 performs quite well. It has low input lag of ~9ms which ensures no noticeable delay between your actions and the result on the screen. Features Information of the number of pixels in a unit of length. With the decrease of the display size and the increase of its resolution, the pixel density increases.Information about the maximum horizontal viewing angle, within which the image on the screen is of acceptable quality. There are various panel technologies. Each has its own specific features - viewing angles, color reproduction, response time, brightness/contrast, production cost, etc. The image quality depends directly on the type of the display panel used. The operating humidity shows the acceptable level of humidity, in which the display will function flawlessly. It sets a lower and an upper humidity level for safe operation and is measured in percentage. For consistency, we've changed the swivel adjustment from N/A to 'No'. The score remains unchanged. The percentage of the approximate area, taken by the active part of the screen, to the total front area.
