Each Killzone in the book describes a different potential setting with lots of background describing those settings in the 41st millennium and offers a few examples of worlds and locations where you might find those Killzones. This scenery is designed to be entirely modular, and can be assembled, taken apart and re-assembled any way you like. The rules are too complicated, there are too many new tactics, and asking players to build terrain a certain way to make the rules work isn’t great.

I’m kind of a sucker for campaign and narrative content – if not to actually use then to pilfer for my own campaigns – and I was interested to see if this book did anything new or interesting with the Killzones concept. The size is the same as the tanks, pipelines or the walls of the Sector Imperialis, making the whole range highly modular. The casting is well done, but the material rather dark so you it is a bit difficult to see some of the details on the pictures. This set contains everything you need to create a Sector Mechanicus battlefield for games of Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team: – Double-sided, fold-out game board measuring 22" x 30" – 10 large pipelines, three of which are broken, with ruined ends – 2 smaller pipe elements which represent the beginning/end of a pipeline – A variety of additional elements including junction boxes, chimneys, and silos which can be used in conjunction with the pipelines to form larger structures and denser areas terrain You will need a copy of the Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team Core Manual and the Killzones book to make full use of the contents of this set. As this is a terrain kit, there are some rather large pieces in the sprues, meaning a lot of connections resulting in a longer preparation time to clean the parts compared to regular infantry or vehicle kits.

These are the six that have received major releases so far, though notably The Truehawk and The Ministorum Shrine – both introduced in Rogue Trader – are missing here.

Still, it would have been nice to see them reproduced here with more general rules for spaceship and shrine battles.Included are enough components to build an Alchomite Stack (a series of chimneys evoking the thick, acrid atmosphere of industry), a Ferrotonic Furnace (an enormous silo filled with toxic chemicals � or worse) and 2 sets of Plasma Conduits.
