The Dreams of Gaia Tarot is one of the most beautiful and unique tarot decks I have seen in several years. For the Major Arcana she provides a small image of the card, key words and key phrases followed by the card meanings. I was really bummed to discover that its difficulty level combined with a sort of only-partial tarot vibe in many cards makes it unusable for me except if I draw one card for myself and read the book entry, and even then I quibble with it a bit too much for comfort. Her first tarot deck is a showcase of her gorgeous artwork and also a complete and detailed re-imagining of tarot. I’m delighted with the look and feel of this deck, but I have one whopping complaint: It is not a Tarot deck.
