The Zest has a pretty standard umbrella fold, which is operated by lifting the rear locking catch with your shoe and pressing down the safety catch above the right hand wheel. Find Chicco replacement parts for your stroller, car seats and other baby gear including baby walker wheels, stroller wheels, car seat parts, car seat covers, inserts, and more. While in use though I couldn’t complain, it’s easy to find and once the brake was on I was confident that the stroller wasn’t going anywhere.

I will have to start with the fact that, with such a simple buggy, a umbrella stroller will get loose and wobbly over time with a string from the kid board attached to the rear - this stroller was not designed to be used with one. I was really impressed by the frame and the overall feel of the stroller, it’s definitely really durable and through all our rigorous testing there hasn’t been any damage or scratches. It’s worth noting that the seat is world facing, so would not be suitable for those looking for a parent-facing stroller. Chucs latest outpost in Kensington boasts a wraparound terrace, which serves as a perfect spot for an Aperol Spritz and a bowl of its delicious signature - the bigoli cacio e pepe.We also share information about your use of our site with our social media, advertising and analytics partners. The difference with the Chicco Goody Plus is the possibility of adding a soft carrycot or a Chicco car seat (adaptors not included) to make the ultimate 3-in-one travel system. The stroller is useful for younger toddlers that still nap in the pushchair as the reclining method is incredibly easy to use and whilst the hood is noisy to adjust, it would definitely make nap time much easier. There is sadly no peephole which isn’t ideal for smaller children and it’s one of the reasons our baby didn’t spend much time in the stroller. And it’s so authentic that, after a negroni (or three), you could be forgiven for believing you’re actually dining on the glamorous Amalfi Coast, rather than on London’s Dover Street.

Overall I didn’t find this a big deal, and I loved that it’s one solid handlebar rather than two handles but that’s just my preference. We had quite a bulky pushchair before, so this looked like a very promising lightweight little stroller. The Chicco Goody is a well-loved option for parents who want to avoid spending a fortune on a stroller without sacrificing style and comfort.

Whilst my baby was fully supported and safe within the stroller, I didn’t feel completely comfortable with her being in there for long periods. The Chicco Goody Plus is suitable for babies from birth through to 22kg in weight (which is approximately 4 years of age depending on the weight and height of your child). The wheel lock was handy for when I had to push the Zest one-handed – something that has become increasingly common since I had two children, as I often need to have one hand free for grabbing a runaway toddler or holding an extra changing bag. Having said that, I will recommend a Lascal Buggy Board Mini, or a Bumprider as these really fit the most universally. The clip that holds the stroller also can’t be attached with one hand: the Chicco Liteway has one of those clips that attaches itself as soon as the buggy’s folded, and the London Winter Stroller would be improved with one of those.

I had always trumpeted the benefits of ‘proper’ tyres that are blown up, as I feel they show less wear and tear than plastic or foam wheels and make for a smoother ride. Older models of the London can be recognized by the wheels made out of hard plastic, later replaced by foam. Expect a complicated method or some difficulty adjusting models that get three or fewer stars for this attribute.I tested the stroller with both of my children of different age groups to get a better idea of who the stroller works best for, in hindsight I would have purchased a Chicco soft carrycot and adapters for my three-month-old as I don’t feel comfortable with her in the stroller and would benefit from the extra comfort a carrycot would provide.

It was a struggle negotiating any kind of kerbs or drops, so whilst we set out to use the stroller on the bus, we ended up folding it down and carrying it until we had finished our journey. Nestled on South Kensington’s Old Brompton Road, Chucs Café Kensington encompasses a dining room and large dual-aspect terrace. In essence, I think the Zest is designed more for adapting as your child grows than switching between toddler and baby mode every couple of hours, but that’s what I found it most useful for, and I would definitely recommend it for use from birth. My partner is 5ft9 and he thought the handlebar was an ideal height, whereas, I, on the other hand, am 5ft 1 and would have preferred the handlebar a little lower. From what I can gather, the Zest appears to have wheels I would describe as rubberized foam (not a technical term but the best I can come up with).
