Description

Most DisplayPort to HDMI cables and adapters are one-way adapters from a DisplayPort Source (computer or docking station) to a HDMI Sink (television, computer monitor, or projector). It supports high-definition resolutions up to 4K at 60Hz as well as High Dynamic Range (HDR) displays for more vivid colours and an immersive viewing experience. The system is completely plug and play, handles both video and audio, and does not need any driver to work.

For products which are showing as 'in 2-5 working days', these are shipped direct from the manufacturer or supplier and so can be subject to a 2-5 day leadtime. The ACTIVE cable will work with DisplayPort or DisplayPort outputs that are not capable of outputting DP++, such as a video card like AMD Eyefinity, it will also work with DP++ outputs. In most cases they have reduced resolution or refresh rates compared to modern signal sources and can introduce delay in the data connection between the display and computer potentially causing reduced connectivity or display performance problems. DisplayPort comes in two versions —" Dual Mode" DisplayPort ( DP++), which allows the port to actually switch its electrical signaling to a different format , and "pure" DisplayPort ( DP), which is intended for DisplayPort monitors without any conversion.

When connected to an HDR television, the television will attempt to enable HDR over the connection even though it is not supported causing reduced refresh rate or image quality.

Because a Dual-link DVI signal needs 25 pins, it cannot be transmitted from a DisplayPort connector using a passive adapter. allows greater resolutions while maintaining high picture quality with an active chipset allowing the connection of multiple displays.DisplayPort to HDMI/DVI/VGA conversion is deceptively complex because the two standards use different electrical signaling. Active adapters on the other hand contain extra components that perform the necessary signaling conversion on their own, so they do not have the same reliance on a DP++ port as a passive adapter would. This adapter by Delock enables the connection of an HDMI monitor to the system via a free DisplayPort interface. Passive adapters rely on the graphics controller to selectively deliver the correct graphics signal using the DisplayPort output. The cable is also Plug and Play, allowing for immediate use without driver or software installation. Many of our newer docking stations include both HDMI and DisplayPort outputs to reduce the need for additional adapters or adapter cables. Active conversion guarantees compatibility with various graphics cards including AMD Eyefinity, NVIDIA surround and Intel Collage, great for an immersive gaming setup or a productive multi-screen working experience. Connecting these type of cables backwards will not allow an HDMI output port (such as those on a dock) to function with a DisplayPort input on a monitor.

We will not deduct for removal of packaging to inspect the item, but we may deduct for wear and tear where the item has not been checked but used. Here are the steps that you need to set a new default audio recording or output device on different operating systems. HDR or HDR10 is a new technology that requires additional color and brightness data to be transmitted from the computer to the display.

The adapter performs the conversion from DisplayPort to VGA, DVI or HDMI instead of the source device. For resolutions above HD, however, there is High Speed HDMI, which diverts from the dual link DVI you would use.

We offer a complete circular IT solution so as well as supplying the latest technology we also recycle unwanted tech, simplifying IT lifecycle management and helping to minimise the impact the technology industry is having on our environment with our fully accredited recycling facility. Active Adapters use an integrated chipset to convert the DisplayPort signal from the computer to an HDMI signal. The adapter core is strengthened with synthetic fibre and reinforced with thermoplastic (TPE) jacket to provide increased protection against all types of wear and tear. To take full advantage of MST features, like creating a video wall, your graphics card should support DisplayPort 1.
