Samsung has just unveiled a one-of-a-kind curved gaming monitor during CES 2022, dubbed the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8.

This is primarily a gaming headset, so I fired up Overwatch and headed into the fray to see how it handled the din.

The G433 model is compatible with the new G HUB app, which is one of the most complete and useful gaming software we’ve seen so far. We first gave this headset a go while playing the recent Destiny 2 beta and the recently released Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age. To me, this was not a very big deal since my much-cheaper Turtle Beach headset that I use with my Xbox One is also stereo.There’s a gentle bass emphasis that won’t be enough to please bassheads, and highs are reduced just enough that detail hounds will be bummed…but you won’t ever be fatigued by cymbals or other high notes, which is better for most listeners. G433 ear cups also feature an acoustic port positioned behind the driver for even more dynamic, spatial sound. While the exterior design is fit to compete with the latest from Beats, as we discovered in our Logitech G433 gaming headset review, the company may have put a little too much effort into looks, and not enough into performance. In testing, we found the G433’s mic to be decent quality compared to similar headsets – that is to say, it’s good, not great. In the end, most will be sitting by themselves behind a monitor so the appearance would be a minor consideration.
