The Canon EOS 600D is an 18.0 megapixel digital single-lens reflex camera, released by Canon on 7 February 2011. [1] It is known as the EOS Kiss X5 in Japan and the EOS Rebel T3i in America. Sound quality appears to be good but is only recorded in mono unless you add an external mic. The camera can re-focus when shooting if needed, however, this is the same as live view focusing and can be quite slow. One less easy-to-spot change is that the functions of the 550D's 'DISP' button have been divided up. The 600D now has an 'INFO' button in its position, which is used to cycle through the various information display options. There's now a separate button on the top-plate labelled 'DISP', which simply turns the screen on and off, effectively taking over the function of the 550D's eye sensor.

Battery life: The camera's battery life is rated at 440 shots according to CIPA standards. Itook over 580 shots, surpassing the expected battery life, however the camera gives very little warning about the remaining battery life, and as soon as the battery is nearly empty, a red battery warning will appear and you will then only be able to take another two or three shots. The Canon EOS 600D makes use of a special type of battery: LP-E8 batteries. The camera comes supplied with an original Canon battery, but you might just as well use DSTE batteries, which are more affordable. We have indeed been spoiled by better and better Auto Focusing systems, so it might just be the fact that I’m fussier about AF than most, but if you’re going to spend the money, get something like the Canon 77D, which does have Dual-Pixel AF. Storage Ease of use: The live view button stands out from the rest of the buttons, the flash button is next to the flash where you would expect it, which is all good. However the ISObutton is next to the command dial making it difficult to scroll through the ISOsettings whilst trying to simultaneously hold down the ISObutton and scroll the wheel at the same time. Shutter release slightly further forward than other SLRs, doesn't fall to hand instantly and can take a little while to get used to (especially noticeable when you ask someone to take a photo for you).
