[47] See also [ edit ] Cherry Magic has stolen my breath and my heart! Every week I anxiously wait for the new episodes like my life depends on it. The chemistry between the leads is sizzling and you can feel it from the very first interaction and you can feel as each episode progresses the chemistry intensifies. At first, honestly, I thought this will be like Ossan's love with overly comedic with little focus on romance especially when I read that the guy will have mind-reading power and the trailer also really didn't impress me but thank god I gave this gem of drama a shot and I fell in love. Of course, Adachi ends up betraying his life's philosophy after falling in love with Kurosawa. However, Cherry Magic still maintains its message with the Fujisaki character, who remains single throughout the entire series. Like Adachi, she firmly believes that you don't need a relationship to be happy. Although her family and the rest of society believe she needs to find a man, Fujisaki is perfectly content on her own. In Episode 6, Kurosawa and Adachi become roommates. Kurosawa could barely contain his excitement about starting a ~private sweet life~ with Adachi. Unfortunately, Rokkaku invites himself to Adachi's apartment. Even though Kurosawa hoped to spend quality alone time with Adachi, the three of them ended up having a mini party together. Then there's Rokkaku. This guy really makes a name for himself but all characters in this show have a good heart. His overly energetic presence was always immediately visible on screen and he has been a fun addition to the show. Fujisaki is the beloved female character and likely the best female character in all of BL. An example of how to give female characters a positive presence in a BL show. Her knowing smile and caring character really makes scenes a lot better. There's not a lot to say about Urabe but he has some character growth as well, showing that all characters have some good in them.

Second, I loved how wholesome this romance was! Based on what I’ve read on this subreddit so far, this was one of the better jdramas and that this kind of quality is rare to find in BL (please correct me if I’m wrong - open to recommendations as long as the story doesn’t get r@pey). Adachi has noticed Kurosawa from the start. Kurosawa's achievements are so prominent that he isn't the type of person you can ignore. Adachi is familiar with who he is, understands what his colleague has accomplished, and admires him from afar. It should also go on record that Adachi commented on Kurosawa's blinding smile more than once, a physical attribute that he subconsciously finds attractive. 😙 And to all the BL writers out there please learn from Kurosawa how to write perfect gentleman. Kurosawa even though is restless about his feelings for Adachi he never ever tried to force his feelings on Adachi. He is always respectful and he even felt remorse when the co-workers forced him to Kiss Adachi ( episode 3) albeit it was only a forehead kiss Kurosawa still felt bad which shows how considerate Kurosawa is and how much kindness and respect he has for Adachi. And they fking held hands *** 😭😭😭😭😭 and Kurosawa screaming *suki* *suki* *daisuki* *kawai* inside his head. Love them ❤️

In his mind, Kurosawa was already fantasizing about Adachi's sleepover at his home. The fantasy began with a camera shot of Adachi as he drank from a cup. This was followed by another shot of Adachi as he dried his head with a towel. It was accompanied by one more shot of Adachi as he lay on his bed. In each shot, we'd get a close-up of Adachi smiling so preciously. Morrissy, Kim (April 14, 2022). "Cherry Magic! Manga Artist Donates Film Rights Fee to Marriage For All Japan". Anime News Network .
