Oil-based lubricants tend to be the longest-lasting. But don’t use them with latex condoms or dental dams because oils break down latex, making the condom more likely to tear. Where people are unable to obtain personal lubricants, they could use one of the following alternatives: Aloe vera This Shiloh Sharps rifle .45-70 with a 32-inch, 1:16 twist barrel and topped with a 23-inch MVA 8X scope was used for testing. So, you are probably asking yourself, Why isn’t Steve writing this article? The reason is simple: Larry Baker wanted someone to test his new lube, SPG Tropic, and Steve felt he was too biased to test the lube and write the article. Therefore, Larry approached me and asked if I would be willing to take a look at SPG Tropic. Silicone - These lubricants use silicone instead of alcohols, sugars, or carbons as the base component of the chemical formula. As such, they are very hydrophobic and do not pull water from the body or air, nor do they dissipate easily.

Do not try to hasten cooling by placing the jar in the refrigerator, or the ingredients may separate. Fusion, or the process of changing from solid to liquid (melting), is another method for lubricating shallow and extreme depths. Frozen materials can affect the fist chute in several ways: contracting/tightening the chute, reducing swelling, decreasing soreness & bleeding, and masking warning signs. A lubricant is a liquid specially formulated for intimate use. There are various types of lubes available, including flavoured, and tingly or warming lubes to boost your pleasure experience, and they come (excuse the pun) in different consistencies to improve different types of sex acts or suit different needs. They shared the pros and cons of different types of lubes, who would benefit from using lube, the best lube for different intentions, and ingredients to seek out or avoid. They also shed light on whether lube affects your risk for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

The best lubes

Let the Bottom hold the lube bottle, especially when face-to-face. This allows the Top to play with both hands without contaminating the surroundings. It also allows the Bottom to easily indicate when additional lube is needed without sounding harpy. Glycerin-based lubes are typically marketed as water-based lubes. Look in the 'Health and Body' or 'Personal Care' sections—you can locate the lubes there alongside condoms. Pricing is minimal. Hybrids Aloe vera has many antibacterial properties, which means that it can help you deal with other types of wounds on your skin. Plus, it can even ease the symptoms of conditions such as psoriasis and burns. There are differing purity standards for over-the-counter petroleum-based products—most have been highly refined. The material itself provides no food source for bacterial and fungi; however, contaminants can be trapped inside the lube jar and provide some nutritional value to unhealthy organisms. Single use containers can be prepped before a session to eliminate this concern. Cross contamination between Bottoms is also a concern and standard Safety processes should be followed. Stay away from sweeteners like agave, honey or syrup. Sugars can change the vaginal environment, creating an infection risk. They can also clump up and cause scratches. Synthetic oils

These do not damage condoms or sex toys, and are typically the safest option for intercourse and masturbation. You do not use products that contain any kind of glycerin or sugar, as this can increase your likelihood of having a yeast infection

Plain yogurt could be a useful alternative lubricant. Anecdotal evidence suggests it does not dry out, has a suitable consistency, and is relatively cheap. There are a couple of things that many people assume is a good idea to add to their homemade lube, however, they turn out to be a bad idea , because of the irritation these ingredients cause or the risks associated with them. These items include: A hard, waxy lubricant suitable for projectile lubrication. This lube can either be melted for pan lubing, or used in a press lube and sizing tool. So, what does all of this data mean? From the limited testing I conducted, both lubes performed extremely well. I personally prefer the standard SPG Lube because it is softer than SPG Tropic and with years of shooting experience with the standard SPG Lube, I trust it to perform well in all shooting environments that are common to my shooting regimen. When I say perform it means my barrel does not lead, fouling remains soft from one shot to the next (when a blow tube is used), and I always get a soft grease “cookie” on the muzzle of the barrel after a string of fire. But more importantly, the loads will consistently shoot a minute of angle and even better when I’m steady on the gun. However, I never doubt the experiences of others who may shoot in entirely different conditions than I do. The SPG Tropic lube may very well improve accuracy for those who regularly compete in extreme heat and low humidity. If you’re not into olive oil as a lube or prefer something water-based, Dr. Crawford has a few suggestions.
