Still, I think she doesn’t deserve half the shit she received because Emma is a really nice person and I’d love to just hug her and protect her.

Further, instead of living in London, Emma lives in New York City, which means she meets Jack on a plane from Chicago to New York. I guess it’s a normal thing for a Sophie Kinsella book — everyone hates you, you job sucks, your life is miserable but it still goes on. Meet Emma Corrigan, a young woman with a huge heart, an irrepressible spirit, and a few little secrets: Secrets from her boyfriend: I’ve always thought Connor looks a bit like Ken. For instance, the song that makes Emma cry in the book is "Close To You" by Carpenters, but in the movie it's "Demons" by Imagine Dragons. I lost my virginity in the spare bedroom with Danny Nussbaum, while Mum and Dad were downstairs watching Ben Hur.You can see she’s a really patient person judging from how she deals with her family issues, her awful coworkers, and her even more awful boss. I thought I understood where it was going, only to be left wondering how it got to the point it did. But later, I found that it really wasn’t a big deal since most of the people didn’t know who Jack was referring to, right? She has a severe case of verbal diarrhoea and ends up spilling all of her secrets to a random guy sitting next to her.

It happens on very rare occasions that I can't quite figure out how to articulate my thoughts about a book. I think this is a classic Kinsella – a book that will make you laugh no matter what mood you are in, the characters are just too awesome and the plot is designed to make you laugh out loud! The story starts with a bad business trip ending in what must be the worst way possible – a near death experience whilst in bad turbulence on a plane. Emma expects never to see him again so when he appears in her life she is mortified, he however, is intrigued. Lindsey’s days at Thornbury were happy ones but she never quite fit in to the upper middle class family and she was very much under Rachel’s spell. My hair is straightened, I’m wearing discreet earrings like they tell you to in How-to-win-that-job articles, and I’ve got on my smart new Jigsaw suit.

When she was approached by an old friend about doing some waitressing aboard a yacht for a group of rich Yanks, coming to sail around the Whitsundays before flying to Sydney to see the Millennium fireworks, the money was too good to refuse.Who forgives a man who literally spills all of your deepest, darkest secrets to the world and claims he got carried away and it was all a mistake? The author also presents them without lecturing and really gets it right with hilarious blow ups and serious letdowns alike. He even lets her know that he remembers those secrets through little hints when he visits the company. conversation about airmiles and the red-eye to Washington – and I think I bluffed pretty convincingly. Please feel free to have a look around, leave a message or simply read up on my latest book experience.

Well…truth is that Connor first scared Emma with jazz concert which Emma actually really hated, and then he gave out a brand new too-much-to-take idea. The story has a few twists and turns, what with Connor being annoyingly persistent in questioning Emma about whom she is dating at the present moment; then, the confrontations that she has with many characters in the story, one of whom was her division’s boss.I really don’t want to give too much away as I was totally gripped with this book and it was so enjoyable – I read it in three sittings! But one minor turbulent plane journey scares her into sharing all of her biggest and most shameful secrets to the man sitting next to her – She lied on her CV about having a C in her maths GSCE and she’s having doubts about her boyfriend, Connor. There seemed to be a lot of subplots going on, largely at the expense of the central plot, and with the result that most of the underlying plots felt quite rushed and unresolved at the end. Suddenly Emma is face-to-face with the stranger from the plane, a man who knows every single humiliating detail about her.
