In 2010–11, Manchester United won their 19th top division title, passing Liverpool's previous record of 18, before winning a 20th title in 2012–13. There will be a countdown of the top ten United’s PL goals, as well as the top ten epic PL matches featuring the Reds, plus the club’s best homegrown players and the best youngsters to make their mark on the league.

When the group stage draw put United in a group with Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Brondby in 1998-99, it looked as though more struggles were inbound. Ronaldo arrived in the summer of 2003 and would go on to score in the FA Cup final in Cardiff at the end of that season, as United sealed their fifth FA Cup title under Alex Ferguson. With Cantona also out until the beginning of October, the team that started the 1995-96 season had a very different look to the team that had begun the previous season. Ally McCoist insists that it would not surprise him if Manchester United end up going 30 years without the title, like their rivals Liverpool did between 1990 and 2020.

So one of the best things that happened in football in the last few years was West Ham winning that cup because sadly it’s just not a level playing field anymore.

They also competed in the Champions League for the 15th season in a row, and contested the final with Barcelona on 28 May 2011, losing 3–1. Trailing 1-0 as the clock ticked past 90 minutes, two stoppage time headers from captain Steve Bruce sealed a dramatic comeback win - and led to the iconic phrase "Fergie time" entering the English football lexicon. The pressure was building on Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United, as a 26-year wait for title glory threatened to slip away.

During Manchester United's run of three consecutive titles, Arsene Wenger had quietly been building a new team in North London and, with French superstar Thierry Henry at its core, Arsenal toppled United in 2002. The 75 point tally that United racked up is the lowest for any Premier League-winning team - though the three teams behind them all tied on 68 points, suggesting a closely-matched battle. The season was also to have a disappointing end, as United were defeated by Villarreal on penalties in a shock result in the Europa League final. Blackmore featured in almost 200 appearances for the Old Trafford giants and played 39 times for Wales.
