During the 2005 Video Music Awards in Miami, at the American Airlines Arena, me and 50 Cent were both scheduled to be part of the show. This was a decent read never been a fan of Fat Joe he has a few songs I like but again not a big fan. Because it's like I also had a deal with Reebok that they was trying to give me, and then turned around and people was like, "Yo, we ain't fuck with Reebok, if you fuck with Joe. If you did business with 50 who was the rising biggest rapper in the world, you couldn’t do business with Fat Joe. The latter song was so infectious it helped Joe make amends with fellow New York MC rival Jay-Z after many years of tension.

I must admit, there is one story that left me feeling like I should have my “hip-hop head” card revoked.Other traumas include almost having his hand placed in a meat grinder by a drug kingpin who suspected that he stole a car. While I initially picked this book up to read about Big Punisher, I found myself engrossed by Fat Joe's stories of the streets and his family, as well as his rapping exploits, and his first person accounts of growing up in the epicenter of Hip Hop at its birth. The hills he had to pass over to make his way towards making some of his dreams a reality, really showed me how much perseverance, drive, and passion he had, and still has, and I wish him all the luck and positive vibes that he’s able to continue onward.

You could tell that he is a good guy and that choosing a life of drugs and violence wasn't his purpose.
