They didn't mention which version, but the original Peter Parker books are great while the Miles Morales books raise it to another level. This was Miles' first Marvel appearance, and it was so strong that he remained an in-canon character even when the Ultimate line shut down. There are 50 issues in this massive omnibus. Written by Charles Soule and anchored by Daredevil and Misty Knight, this four-issue series could have easily been an arc of Daredevil between #605-606. Collects Hunt for Wolverine (2018) #1 and Hunt for Wolverine: Weapon Lost (2018) #1-4. Also, see Guide to Wolverine – Logan. Collects (2011) #1-27 & 10.1, Amazing Spider-Man #677, Avenging Spider-Man #6, and The Punisher #10 From there, Daredevil teams-up with Captain America to investigate Nuke's origin, with Miller writing a line that explains Cap's ethos with unmatched succinctness ("I'm loyal to nothing, General, except the dream) while also closing this battle between Daredevil and the Kingpin on a fitting note. Epic editions are also listed below in their chronological placement, as they are frequently the only coverage of a specific run.

Not collected in this format. These issues were not written by Bendis. See below for collection information. My personal fav is “The man without fear” story. Probably one of my fav DD stories or comic book runs ever. It covers all grounds from the star to how DD came to be. The definitive DD origin story. I’m also a huge fan of John Romita Jr’s art. This is essentially a hodge podge of Miller's _other_ Daredevil work, but with its inclusion of Born Again, Man Without Fear, and (to a lesser extent) Love and War, it remains a must-read, definitely worthy of being right next to the main Miller omnibus. A classic superhero run with fluid and well framed action, tight storylines, and some surprisingly tactful characterization. Technically, Elektra shows up in Daredevil’s solo series prior to the completion of issue #40 (the completion of Bendis and Maleev’s book 1). If you really want, you could start reading Elektra around Daredevil #30. Personally, I’d just fill in the solo Elektra if you’re so inclined. Matt Draper, a comics-focused YouTuber who likes to analyse every bit of Daredevil lore as if it was Dostoevsky, has this video on the story. So watch that if you want to hear about its themes: crime and redemption, salvation through love, perdition through loss. Whatever.

You can also find Daredevil for another team-up, in Defenders Vol. 1: Diamonds Are Forever and Defenders Vol. 2: Kingpins of New York, written by Brian Michael Bendis. Infinity Countdown: Daredevil (2018) #1: See Marvel Universe Events – Infinity Countdown & Infinity Wars. This fits between #605-606 for Matt. Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man (#27-28). This is the sort of detritus you throw into an omnibus when you have space to fill. Yes, it's Frank Miller drawing Daredevil but ... so what? It's actually not a bad Daredevil crossover, since it's all about Spider-Man dealign with a temporary blindness, but in this era PP:TSSM was very much a soap opera, so we come in toward the end of his battle with the Maggia and we leave toward the beginning of his battle with Carrion, and there's lots of semi-comprehensible character subplot along the way. These stories would be perfectly OK in a PP:TSSM collection, but here they're just not necessary [3/5].I’m not a Fall From Grace fan, but it does come up as one of the more well known Daredevil and Elektra storylines of the mid-90’s. Daredevil: The Man Without Fear #1-5 is also collected in Daredevil Companion Omnibus by Frank Miller, if you have this edition. After #605 and before the final arc, in Defenders (2017) #7-9, Despicable Deadpool (2017) #298 & 300, after Infinity Countdown: Daredevil & #605 in Amazing Spider-Man (2018) #1, Deadpool (2018) #2, Defenders (2017) #10, Hunt For Wolverine: Weapon Lost (2018) #1-4 & Hunt For Wolverine: Dead Ends (2018) #1, Incredible Hulk (1968) #717.

Captain America inspires, Spider-Man hopes, Deadpool memes, Daredevil suffers. Suffering has been the emotional core of the Daredevil book ever since Frank Miller rescued him from the ash heap. His catholic guilt tormented him. His body betrayed him. His loved ones were hurt because of him. His whole life was a disaster, at all times. That is until Mark Waid got a hold of him. Siege: Daredevil appears only glancingly at the end of this event after his issue #507. See Marvel Universe Events: Siege Also note that, before Miller came along, the Daredevil comic was floundering on the edge of cancellation. Not only did Miller re-invent horn head, he literally saved his very existence. Lee was initially concerned that the idea of his new hero might be offensive to blind people, but was overwhelmed by the positive response from charities working with the blind! Also included is a pair of Spectacular Spider-Man issues with Miller artwork, Daredevil #219 (another Miller issue), and the Daredevil: Love and War graphic novel by Miller and Bill Sienkewicz.by Chip Zdarsky: To Heaven Through Hell Vol. 4 ( 2023 oversize hardcover, ISBN 978-1302950057 / digital) The second major storyline collected in this hardcover is Frank Miller's 1993 return to Daredevil - the Daredevil: Man Without Fear 5-issue limited series. Miller, ably aided by John Romita Jr. serves up a dramatic and definitive retelling of Daredevil's origin, including his early encounters with the Kingpin and Elektra. This was the series that made me a Daredevil fan, so it's nice to see it collected in such a deluxe format. Fear Itself: Daredevil joins the Avengers during this event and appears throughout their tie-ins. See Marvel Events: Fear Itself.
