I’m kinda hoping that they do a complete reversal of the “physical” release and do a proper launch mid next year. zochmenos I am offering tepid defense for the game, fwiw. Take Two clearly didn't allow the devs to put in enough for many people on any system, but this review seems a little over the top. With that said, I've still been enjoying these games. Fortunately, I haven't encountered glitches during the many hours I've played so far but the framerate is atrocious. Only buy this if you know you'll like it. I'm loving it so far all things considered. Lazy cash grab and nothing more it seems. I wont even buy this trilogy elsewhere, I'm just not touching it period at this point!

For what its worth, I LOVED Vice City.. Bought a PS2 just for this game but never had a memory card so just drove round aimlessly, always starting again at the beginning. Eventually traded PS2 in for a DVD player and about 7 second hand Gamecube games. Best decision. Still glad to be able to replay Vice City and also give the other two a go. Hope this rumour pans out. You can explore what is perhaps one of the best-looking Lego worlds through the use of vehicles, and it features the typical gameplay mechanics you’d expect to see from such a title. Honestly, Lego City Undercover is a fun time, and we suggest you give it a try if you’re after something with a GTA feel. NedBundy It's entirely possible you could take my comments as arrogant, but I'm just saying that his criticisms seemed overblown.I'll stand by what I said before in that these remasters could and should have been much better but I've still had a good time with them so far People only resort to arguments like that when they experience the cognitive dissonance of enjoying something other people don't. At that point you're not defending the game, you're pathetically trying to justify your own taste. If you enjoy the game, warts and all, good for you. You shouldn't feel the need to defend it.

Although there's a lot of cheats for CJ's on-foot adventures, there's also plenty of codes you can utilise when he gets behind the wheel. Here are all the traffic, vehicle, boat, plane and motorcycle cheat codes: Matty1988 I did not even read any comments and went straight what kinda review is this. I felt bad commenting my thoughts about it but I’m glad you said something before me. Im curious as to what you found disappointing? In fact I'd say it's only Switch players who should pay any attention to the Definitive Edition. Handheld GTA is the only reason for this product to exist. If these are just ports of the mobile versions, like San Andreas HD was on PS3, this will be a hard pass. I hated the control changes from the "HD" release, among other changes to it. JasmineDragon The first GTA came out when I was an angsty teen, and I really enjoyed putting in cheat codes and causing senseless violence.Thwomp_Stomper with the way people get touchy about certain older games coming to the Switch, I wasn't sure and my apologies. You can dual-wield a variety of weapons if you reach the gun rank of "Hitman" while using them. Those weapons include the Micro-SMG, Pistol, Sawed-off Shotgun, and Tec-9. When it comes to my excitement level, whether or not the port is impressive pales in comparison to whether the games are fun and whether I’ve played them in recent years or at all.” And yet some people are defending this release, saying ''it's not so bad'' and that people ''shouldn't jump on the hate bandwagon'' No, they were sitting around asking “how can we impress the easily impressed? Those who are impressed with ports of games that have been available on phones for nearly a decade.”

If you're already disappointed in how this game was handled on release, why would you suddenly have impossible expectations for the same company? Also I’d guess most things get ironed out by the time the physicals drop…. Digital are the test subjects before the physical drops I’m sure. 3 massive games in one game in who knows how long they have been working on it. Say since the switch came out for fun. That’s still not long for something of this size. I've been playing San Andreas on Game Pass and am liking it a lot more so far. The new "modern" controls are making it FAR more enjoyable to play these games. If this is real, I would be pretty cool with it. Hope they don't shift us with a lazy Port job though. There is absolutely no reason that these games shouldn't run buttery smooth on Switch. The Switch button codes are converted from the classic GTA San Andreas cheats, they are unverified at the moment.Instabuy for me. San Andreas was the peak in gameplay. Vice City the music and the style. 3 gives me the warm and fuzzies. Pink_Floyd don't think it's that farfetched, it's not like each game is BOTW sized or anything + they are remasters of games people have already played to death Noted very few bugs owing to the time I could spend. Car doors opening through your character, getting sunk knees down in the sidewalk are frequent ones. Love it or hate it, there is no denying that the Grand Theft Auto series is huge. It is big enough to have GTA 6 subjected to leaks for months, big enough to have its iconic trilogy ported to Switch (in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition) with terrible effect last year and, it turns out, it... By the way, this is exactly why Nintendo’s retro offerings of basically the upscaled original ROMs is THE way to go. You can’t go wrong with the originals. Remasters or whatever often introduce new problems as they try to fix old ones.

If you’re an avid mobile gamer who also has a strong love for GTA, Gangstar Vegas is the perfect game for you. You play as Jason Malone, a skilled MMA fighter who’s in a fight for his life after winning a certain fight. Like other games in the Gangstar series, it features an open world that you can explore, and so many weapons that you’ll cause more explosions than you can count. Ex-Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aimé is well known for his showmanship and love for Nintendo games, but if a recent interview is anything to by, it seems he may have spent more of his time on the PlayStation 2 during the early 2000s rather than the GameCube. Traitor, right..? Nah, we're kidding... Dang... what a shame :/ I was looking forward to having these on me switch at some point, but I guess now I opt out. Bit to the side here but wasn't the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy also a poor port to the switch? The game has been scaled down just to run on the Switch as opposed to being optimized for the best possible experience on Switch. Saints Row 3 looks crispier on the this console. I'd still say 6.5/10 not 4. But then I have hardly given an hour to each game.I mean, it's a disappointing port as ports go, but it's hardly unplayable. If you enjoyed playing it on PS2, the experience isn't really worse, just poor in different ways. PJOReilly I respect your review and see where it is coming from. I guess from the perspective of someone thinking GTA is a true great video game, your review makes total sense and I can see why there would be harsh criticism. And it's not even about being a graphics whore. An unstable framerate directly affects the gameplay in a major way. Not sure why it has taken so long for any GTA to arrive on Switch to be honest. Even A sequel to China Town wars would have made sense given the console's sales. This is not a case of the hardware not able to handle these games, it's a case of the dev just being lazy and greedy and they 100% deserve those low scores.
