This perfume is a stark reminder that a captivating description does not always translate to a quality product. Be that as it may, the performance is just as bad as l'homme, so I'd actually suggest wearing this in summer (especially at night, as implied by the name).

I don't mind alcohol in scents but it just isn't office safe for that reason or people might think you're drinking at work. Wanted by Night is fruitier than you might expect, so might be worth a sample first to see if it's for you. Top notes are Cardamom and Grapefruit; middle notes are Leather, Lavender and Clary Sage; base notes are Tonka Bean, Sandalwood, Patchouli and Vetiver. I tend to dislike most men’s fragrances and they don’t vary nearly as much as unisex or women’s fragrances do so I don’t really bother with them BUT this one had me in a chokehold. I wish they bumped up the performance on this, as it lasts 4 hours on my skin and dies out fast to a skin scent.After around 2-3 hours the sexy cardamom dries down and you're left with that punchy sexy fresh spicy soapiness probably coming from that Vetiver and caraway. Unlike the (the current) La Nuit EDT this is 'still' radiating strongly from my hand, the EDT disappears in under 10 mins to become a skin-scent for sniffer dogs alone.

Both are fantastic if you want a strong, cold-weather fragrance - they just go in different directions. La Nuit de L'homme would 100% be my signature scent if it only had at least average (6 hours) longevity - unfortunately though, it only reaches about half of that on my skin.It has a huge mass-appeal factor that garners compliments and is even better for those close encounters. It's not that this is fragrance primarily suitable when going on a date or going to the club, it's that this is a darker, more mysterious approach on the original L'Homme while remaining charming to the crowd. The notes look similar to the original with the addition of leather, sandalwood etc which do happen to be some of my favorite notes so I guess we will see! The retail pricing for the 100 mL size isn't horrible, considering the quality of the fragrance and the fact that this isn't intended as a versatile daily driver.
