I'm kind of surprised that I'm actually enjoying this series so far as I'm constantly seeing this on sale so was a little apprehensive. Gain, who created the slimes, congratulates Ryoma for creating the cleaner and scavenger slimes by unintentionally influencing their evolution. Worgan invites Ryoma to participate in a special quest with his fellow adventures, which involves hunting down a huge quantity of treants, one of the monsters in Ryoma's list. It is pretty much up to you which version you want to read, I don't know if it is really worth reading both unless you want to. So far Ryoma is ridiculously overpowered, has no idea how overpowered he is, and is lucking into meeting the best people.

The story focuses on Ryoma’s adventures as he explores the new world, meets interesting characters, and helps those around him. Afterwards, he learns from the Adventurer's Guild a group of adventurers captured a new kind of slime.

Ryoma is taken to Gimul's church to obtain his status board, which also functions as personal identification. The satisfaction of a new life well-lived makes him feel the ache of the coming loneliness that much stronger.
