Description

The Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite is a very interesting proposition as it manages to sound neutral, balanced and transparent, making it suitable for critical music listening and professional applications, but without sacrificing musicality and engagement. The upper treble is relaxed in that it doesn't lose the integrity of the notes or become dull, but it feels constrained. As the texture and specifics of each note hitting sound refined, vibrant, and adequately pleasing like a dynamic driver bass, the control over the bass itself is impressive. And as I've said in all of my evaluations, the same is true for this one: all of the concepts I've expressed below are entirely my own, original ideas that haven't been influenced by anyone else.

Kiwi Ears is dedicated to producing the finest professional in-ear monitors for musicians and studio engineers. I found them just a little bright for my taste, but not offensively so, and never to the extent of being tiring. This was my first multiple BA IEM and I have to say I am so impressed with the sound - the details I get are outstanding far superior to the much cheaper IEMs I had purchased previously like the salnotes zero, Moondrop chu and even the ER2XR. Amy Winehouse, Sinatra and Bruce Dickinson didn't have to fight against any other sounds to stand out.

Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite Review — Headfonics

Comparing the Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite to the Moondrop Blessing 3, both IEMs offer fairly balanced signatures, but the presentation differs. The IEMs themselves are made from an acrylic plastic, are moulded in a very ergonomic shape, and feature a tasteful, understated design. The vocals appear exquisite and appropriately placed; they are never felt to be in the way or to dissolve into a single note.It provides a visceral experience and allow for a pronounced "thump" when reproducing the bass drum in genres like Rock/Heavy Metal. Overall, the mid-range is presented in the greatest possible way—it is calming, magnificent, and forward. For some countries, it might take up to 2-3 months, depending on your country, its customs and other factors. The Orchestra Lite’s bass response is warm and ample, contributing to the overall smoothness of the sound signature.

Underneath is a foam sheet with machined cutouts to snugly hold and protect the IEM shells themselves and a smaller accessory box that has three plastic zip-lock bags containing the various ear tips provided. My listening was done using my Sony NW-WM1A Walkman, and a Topping D30 Pro / A30 Pro DAC/Amp combination. With the exception of the subwoofers, which are made by Knowles, each of these drivers is handmade by Kiwi Ears. For the treble, two ultra tweeters are used, four mid-range balance armature drivers are used, and two large subwoofer drivers are used. Each unit is handcrafted, ensuring that you can focus on the music without worrying about mediocrity.

Their design goal appears to be accuracy above all else, and if I had to sum up the sound signature, I’d go with ‘beautifully balanced and highly revealing’. To be honest, the lower midrange also contributes significantly to keeping the mix as clear and balanced as possible between dense and muddy. But your preference will determine if you believe in the stage of an IEM or see them as detail producers, in which case headphones or speakers won't be sufficient for you in that regard. Big Shell, single ended cable, poor accessories, lacks sub bass extension, treble may feel too smooth sometimes to someone.

By this I mean that these individuals do not believe that their performance is lacking, but rather that the attention of such tuning is more focused on other qualities. The original Kiwi Ears Orchestra model was an instant success in the industry, having been awarded numerous acclaim by international reviewers. They finally produced a low-cost IEM named Cadenza a while back, and it was favourably accepted in the IEM market, particularly in a market where there is fierce rivalry. With the pursuit of extraordinary audio reproduction, their small team of engineers use technological innovations and refined tuning strategies to reveal every nuance in your music. Their construction, using a 3D printing process with resin as material, is solid, very lightweight, and offers the possibility of having a variety of designs with vibrant colors such as blue, violet, red, and green (Design names: Verse, Prelude, Chorus, and Solo, respectively).
