I immediately detested Dom (the weasel) and Cara’s mother is a piece of work too (don’t get me started about Cara’s younger stepsister CA chaotic story that pulls at all the emotions, Sophie’s Mother Hens is the Mums on Tour version of the Inbetweeners. The drama,the accidental drugs,private planes,a camp for swingers,drag Queens,hit men,are only some of what happens the girls on what should be 4 days on the lash, in the sun!

The story follows Cara, who is recently divorced from her love rat husband, and has been persuaded to join best friends Jac, Debs, and her cousin Amy on Jac’s hen do to Ibiza.

From Cara with her nervous colon to Jac with her inside knowledge on HTGAWM add in Queen of the Unfiltered Mouth, Amy (It me!Not sure I was fully on board with the plot, a mum version of The Hangover, where the hen do does not ho to plan and they have to fix what happened the morning after the night before.

Loved the characters, they really did make it a joy to read and it gosh I loved the cringe worthy moments - I’m even laughing to myself while writing this review! she is excited for a hen do to Ibiza when her best friend Jac gets engaged, but disappointed that the hen do won’t be for another 2 years. NGL, I was ready to go into full Lorena Bobbitt mode in the first part of the story… I wanted to take Dirty Dom OUT! It's full of hilarious characters, cringe worthy moments so believable you wonder if it really is fiction, and a brilliant ending that left me feeling fully satisfied and also chortling. Her ensuing journey to Ibiza, pushed by her friends into a hen party while nursing a broken heart, is a masterclass in comedic chaos.In short, Mother Hens is a rollicking good time, a book I'll be squawking about to anyone who'll listen. I loved every second I spent devouring this book and I can’t wait to introduce it to so many more people.
