For starters, it’s dim. Similar to the UltraGear OLED 27, this monitor tops out at around 200 nits of brightness. With a 3% window, LG claims up to 1,000 nits, but I only measured 780. Low brightness is typical of OLED, and although some may cry foul at a notion of a dimmer monitor, it was never too dim for me to work on during testing. The stand of the monitor is fairly sturdy and offers a good range of ergonomics, including up to 110mm height adjustment, -5°/15° tilt, +/- 10° swivel and 100x100mm VESA mount compatibility. As for its sibling, the 45GR95QE-B, it has largely the same specifications, except it's a curved 45-inch panel with a 3,440 by 1,440 pixel resolution. That's a pretty low resolution for such a large screen. Speaking of settings, the UltraGear 45GR95QE-B has a healthy array of options within its sleek OSD menu, including various overlays, a toggle for Adaptive-sync (G-Sync compatible Freesync) settings, and ‘game mode’ presets. You’ll also be able to dial in contrast, gamma, and color settings if you’ve not got HDR switched on, and there’s picture in picture functionality too. That latter quirk is handy if you’re a streamer looking to use a console and Windows 11 on one screen, as you’ll be able to use two inputs at the same time.

Näytön häikäisyä estävä ja heijastamaton pinta ei anna auringonvalon estää näkyvyyttä. Keskity peliin ilman häiriöitä. The LG 45GR95QE-B stands out against its competition with its massive 45-inch QD OLED panel. It’s capable of stunning HDR imagery, but it’s also lightning fast, like the smaller 27GR95QE-B. However, it costs a pretty penny like most OLED displays so it deserves a deeper look before recommendation. LG 45GR95QE-B SpecificationsFast-paced games like Marvel's Spider-Man run silky smooth on the LG UltraGear 27GR95QE-B. (Image credit: Tom's Guide) At the rear of the monitor, there’s the customizable Hexagon RGB lighting with strong enough LEDs to reflect off of the wall in a dark room. Design & Connectivity What many users won’t find ideal, however, is the subpar pixel density of 83.8 PPI (pixels per inch), which is similar to that of 27″ 1920×1080 monitors. The pixels transition rapidly regardless of the refresh rate, so there’s no need for different overdrive settings.

The screen also has a light matte anti-glare coating that prevents reflections without making the image too grainy. Throwing the UltraGear OLED 45 on a mount isn’t a bad idea, as the included stand doesn’t have a ton of room for adjustment. The LG UltraGear 27GR95QE-B delivers a sharp and vibrant picture quality. Another downside of OLED technology is the risk of permanent image burn-in and temporary image retention. However, as long as you’re using the monitor sensibly, it shouldn’t be an issue. Mukana toimitettavat kaapelit: HDMI-kaapeli, DisplayPort-kaapeli, USB-kaapeli, virtakaapeli, kaukosäädin

At a distance of roughly 41 inches (~104cm), the 3440×1440 resolution on a 44.5″ viewable screen becomes ‘retina’, meaning that you won’t be able to distinguish the individual pixels anyway. Doom Eternal is an extremely fast-paced game that can push your reflexes to the max. I can’t say this monitor made me play better, but it certainly didn’t hinder me. No matter how much was happening on the screen or how fast I was moving, the UltraGear 27GR95QE-B never stuttered. Zipping across New York City in Marvel’s Spider-Man for PC was also seamless and smooth. LG UltraGear OLED 27 review: Interface Image Cleaning: Runs a complete image refresh cycle after four hours of use and only starts when you turn the monitor off or enter the power saving mode. It takes about 10 minutes to finish. But this monitor still looks extremely good, especially when compared to most other monitors. And it’s the fastest oled on the planet today.

Sebesség

The LG UltraGear 27GR95QE-B is the first gaming monitor I reviewed in 2023 and I can already see it being one of this year’s best. Yes, its display doesn’t get as bright as some competitors, but it’s hard to argue against its ultra-smooth performance and extraordinary picture quality. Its relatively small size and understated design are also aspects I appreciate. With that said, I would have scored it a tad higher if I didn't need a remote to access the menu.
