Because the heads are interchangeable, if you have a preferred style, it can be fitted to the handle, even if it does not come in the box. Whilst many differences exist, I think it is worth listing out the ways in which these brushes are in fact very similar. The Pro 1000 has a brush motor offering 8,800 oscillations and 20,000 pulsations, compared to the 9,900 oscillations and 40,000 pulsations of the Pro 2 2000.

As I have already intimated earlier in this comparison, it makes complete sense to also look at the Oral-B Pro 2 2500, which is often the same price or cheaper than the Pro 2 2000. It is essentially identical and comes with a travel case included. In many instances, you get more for less. Our in-house dentists believe 3 features should be present in a good electric toothbrush. The Pro 2 2000 has them all. The timer and pacer help you to brush for the right amount of time The handle is water resistant, so a rinse under the tap is perfectly fine. All the important electronics, including the battery, are sealed inside. The last difference, which I touch upon in a section of this comparison below is the price. The Pro 2000 is the cheaper of the 2 brushes.

Oral-B Pro 2 2000 electric toothbrush review summary

The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 review was last updated in March 2019. I hope you enjoy the article. Please note you can only buy it from the UK. I have actually wrote an in depth article about this here. In essence the Oral-B Pro 2500 has a travel case and the Oral-B Pro 3000 has more cleaning modes and a better charging station. My preferred electric toothbrush out of the three would be the Oral-B Pro 3000 . Is the Oral-B Pro 2 2000 waterproof? Experience the Oral-B ORAPRO2000 Pro 2 2000 CrossAction Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush, from the #1 brand recommended by dentist worldwide. The slight design differences, along with the different batteries, does mean the physical size and weight are marginally different. Not significant though. Oral-B does have a phenomenal range of brush heads and the Oral-B Pro 2 2000 is compatible with every single one of them. Other than the cross action the other useful brush heads are sensitive, kids and ortho. I am not a big fan of the trizone find out why here. 3) Battery Life: Oral-B Pro 2 2000 Electric toothbrush review

Proprietary pressure control technology– Reduces brushing speed and alerts you to be gentler if you brush too hard. The same principle applies to the Pro 2 2500. The letter at the end of the model number depicts the brush head it comes provided with.Any good electric toothbrush that cares for your oral hygiene needs to have a two-minute timer. It is an essential feature because almost everyone doesn’t brush for long enough. In fact, the average person typically brushes their teeth for only 45 seconds. This can lead to dental plaque festering on your teeth, ultimately leading to gum disease and tooth decay. You might think you can give the other handle to a friend or relative, you certainly could. However, they would then need to buy a charging stand for it, if they did not have one. If the decision was on price alone, then the Pro 2 2900 would be our overall choice, because although it is more expensive to buy, when you factor in that for the higher price you get 2 brush handles, it actually works out better value per handle. However, I hope I can help your readers to compare the Oral B / Braun ranges, from my own research in November 2016!

Because of my bad experience with the Oral-B battery I initially wanted to buy a Philips Sonicare DiamondClean but the ones with all bells and whistles (Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart HX9924/03) was more than twice as expensive as the Genius 9000. So at the end a bought a couple of Oral-B PRO 2 2000N ’s and one Oral-B Genius 9000N to see how the very best and best value differ in daily use. Please note. Every effort is made to ensure the key differences listed are correct, but these differences are subject to change without notice. Products and the box contents can be changed without notice and different variants can exist. Scrubbing the teeth hard and fast doesn’t clean them any better. Long term it will actually damage them. The lower powered mode is ideal for those with inflamed or bleeding gums, or if you find the Daily Clean mode too intense. Our Oral-B cleaning modes article goes into more depth, should you want to know more.

Oral-B Pro 2 2000 vs Pro 2 2500 vs Pro 2 2900 - Electric Teeth

The Pro 2 2500 is technically the expensive option, but most of the time it is cheaper or there is little in the way of real price difference. These 2 brushes fall at the lower end of the electric toothbrush range from Oral-B, but they offer most of what you need of an electric toothbrush at a good price point. The quadpacer 2 minute timer featured on the Oral-B Pro 2 2000 2 is an on handle timer that “buzzes” every 30 seconds to let you know when to change areas of the mouth. It is a simple and ingenious way of letting you instinctively know when your 2 minutes of dentist recommended brushing is up. A visible timer would be useful aswell to know exactly how long you have been brushing for. You can get this by using the sound recognition from the Oral-B App which is available from Itunes and Google play although is not as reliable as Bluetooth connectivity. Visible Pressure sensor All three of the electric toothbrushes are mid range electric toothbrushes built by Oral-B. They all provide different advantages and disadvantages but which one provides you with the best features, best value for money and best portability. Find out in the detailed review below. 1) Features: Oral-B Pro 2000 vs 3000 vs 2500 The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 looks like an expensive electric toothbrush and feels solid in the hand. It features a slimline body, which is easy to grip. Although if you do suffer from arthritis of the hand, it may be on the too thin side.Protruding from the body, the power button is easy for the fingertip to detect. You do need to give it a fairly firm push, so those with dexterity issues might find it a bit more challenging. The Pro 2 2000 on the other hand has a Li-Ion battery that lasts at least 14 days on a single charge. On the rear of the Pro 2 2000 brush handle, just below where the brush head attaches, is a red plastic panel. This is the visible pressure sensor. More details on this shortly, but know that the 1000 does not have it.
