So the story wasn’t exactly for me, but art was pretty good. Way teamed up with yet another Brazilian artist, it seems, and the result is a wild, retro styled technicolor ride that wouldn’t be out of place in the 80s. IGN: You had two seasons to plan the ending [after season three, Killjoys was renewed for two final seasons]. Is that something you lobbied for? Omalu, B.I., S.T. DeKosky, R.L. Minster, M.I. Kamboh, R.L. Hamilton, and C.H. Wecht. 2005. Chronic traumatic encephalopathy in a National Football League player. Neurosurgery 57 (1): 128–134. Sara Ahmed's Feminist Killjoy Handbook is not only a dazzling analysis of the workings of sexism, but a balm for the soul. Ahmed's insight that being a feminist is being a killjoy is as consoling as it is revelatory. It makes sense of the bad atmosphere, the uncomfortable feelings that swirl around feminism; it gives you ballast in the storm. Read it. Give it to everyone. It will teach you how to survive and how to transform the world

IGN: Would you have gone for longer had that been an option? Do you think that the story got told, or do you wish you had more seasons?David, Greg (July 19, 2018). "Killjoys: Showrunner Adam Barken discusses Season 4". TV, eh? . Retrieved September 17, 2018. Aaron Ashmore as John Andras "Johnny" Jaqobis, a level three (later five) RAC agent. Dutch's RAC partner of six years and her best friend, he handles the technical aspects of their missions. It was really wonderful that they ended up being so fabulous to work with and [liked] working with each other. Like, Luke is so damn funny. And we didn't know that at first. But he just kept nailing the random occasional [comic] line we gave him. That was such a blessing, because we thought, "Oh, here's a new insight into what makes D’avin so lovable." He's self-aware. He's just the tiniest bit goofy, especially for a big, handsome man. He's really loving, and kind of soft. He's a bit vulnerable in ways that Dutch can see — in a good way. That’s my favorite part about writing television versus writing a movie or writing a novel — you have time to extract from these actors all these things that they can do. ML: Yeah. And it was an interesting and very intentional journey on my part. I am a woman who loves women, who had sisters, who is very close to my mom. I'm very comfortable within that world. And what appealed to me was that Dutch wasn’t — for her own very well-earned, organic childhood reason. She didn't have the female friends that I've always had my entire life. That was a sign of her being wounded. It wasn't a sign of power that she was so close to the boys. It was important to me to take her down the path — and I'm glad we had the time to do the whole path — of healing, where she got past that and when you're seeing her have hugs with D'av, when you're seeing her have these bonds with Aneela. That's me showing the end of her internal journey. It’s been kind of lovely for me to be a part of making that story happen.

IGN: The ending is conclusive but clearly the world these people are in isn't ending. The characters will go on, and I can see the potential for comic books, spinoffs, movies or things like that in the future. Do you want the story to be over, or do you picture other mediums continuing the tales? a b "Gerard Way's Fabulous Killjoys gets Free Comic Book Day debut". CBR . Retrieved 16 March 2013. Brain 141 (2): 422–458. it was fun seeing how characters in this story, which worked as the initial storyboard for ideas that then became the Danger Days album and the original 'California' killjoys comic, ended up shaping the world and the story that came to be. it made me appreciate the universe as a whole while still working really well as a semi-coherent story, with beautiful art and a lot of passion behind it.The meaning of these brain sections would be incomplete without a consistent behavioural description, matching up pathology with a clinical profile. Beginning with Mike Webster’s story of homelessness, addictions and mental instability, reports of CTE have been accompanied by biographies of late-in-life erratic behaviour, memory loss, impulsivity and aggression. Experiences and behaviours both innocuous and extreme are interpreted as symptoms. The biographies are both true and partial insofar as the telling anecdotes represent a fraction of the time in which the men inhabited lives that also featured less newsworthy differences from each other, moments of clarity, and expressions of love. As with other diseases marked by cognitive deterioration, the actions of these deceased athlete-celebrities are seen retrospectively through the prism of their acquired brain pathology. For example, in the documentary Head Games (James 2012), the mother of an 18-year-old football player speaks of the tiny stain of tau that marked the beginnings of CTE: “So when the results came through, I can’t say it was a relief, but it was like ‘Oh my gosh there is the reason right there that [my son] would commit suicide.’” No doubt, the apparent objectivity is a comfort, enabling grieving family members to make sense of a loved one’s decline and death. The brown splotch also seems to explain away incidents of violence that they themselves may have endured at the hands of the same man. It is an absolution of the man who—once the blows were delivered to his brain—could not have prevented the pain that ensued. But when we did finally find out that we had the 20 [episodes to end Killjoys], it was sort of a terrifying grace. You are used to a certain metric, you're used to a certain rhythm. And 10 [episodes] always felt a little bit small for our show, because we were trying to incorporate episodic adventures and world-building and serialization. It was this really interesting melting pot of all these forms of story. So it's a lot to jam in, and 20 is certainly more ground than we're used to. Anders, Charlie Jane (June 19, 2015).
